A well written article that gives a lot of incentive into the history of clans, despite this though I feel slightly disappointed after reading this. This article only seems to focus on combat clans and having returned to RuneScape after a lengthy hiatus one of the first things that became apparent to me was that you can find an active clan for almost any activity. Whether it be distractions and diversions, clan chats relating to activities or even global clan chats you can't argue that clanning isn't only something that combatters can enjoy.
I might write a short article on this over the next few days, to give people a clearer picture of when clans started to stray away from fighting and moved onto other activites.
Anyway as I said it was a nice read and i'd like to than Ralph and others for putting the article together.

but if you do this you should add things there like boss teleports for clans that meet the requirements or if you could have portals to hard yo get spots like wildy agility course would be great.
but most of all id like to see if ou can incorperate the void knights into this saga it would be awfully fun to have a lander at your clan base :p

Will the article be expanded any?...once again your RSB clans that actually adapted to the Clan Wars Arena and used it to its fullest are completely disregarded.. .
Clans like Crimson Knights and others that used the CWA as players now had the ability to use the best gear...spells and armour the game had.. .as well as familiars from the Summoning Skill at first...to there fullest.. .
it amazes me how our own alleged CMT ignores us time and time again.. .its like we never existed...and still dont.. .
The first clan ranking system for war clans on your own forums also arose from those clans adapting to the CWA.. .and using the best members features to their advantage.. .
Im happy there is a CMT dedicated to your off forum RSC clan community as Mod Timbo's article obviously shows.. .
will you ever recognise the clans that did the most to hold tough and keep clans on your own forums.. .?
is it any wonder people are mostly F2p oriented now.. .?
Is JaGeX registered as a 'for profit' or 'not for profit' organization in Britain.. .?...to know would help others understand why F2p appears to mean more than anything to JaGeX.. .
Its your game and you can do what you want.. .but it seems strange to watch what is percieved to be a 'for profit' organization (as you DO sell subscriptions).. .only have time and resources for F2p and historically f2p based groups.. .
On another note...
How will clans that do not do Clan Wars fare in any form of rankings.. .?...will they HAVE to do Clan Wars to have any ranks at all.. .and if not...how WILL they get a rank.. .?

Im sorry...I guess you missed the four words "on your own forums".. .and it started during the old Wilderness era...but came to full potential during the start of the CWA Era.. .
All any off forum group ever did was rank according to opinion.. .heck...even the RAW Ranks came about AFTER the RSB Ladder Ranks.. .which it was said was brought here from another game at the time it was created...goodness knows what the 'history of it' would be now.. .lol...
but I hope to see some answers to my questions despite anyone's particular bias.. .
