When I was at RuneFest, I remember that someone complained about missing tutorial island. I teleported there, and showed him that it is all still there in the game

I don't think there are any plans to put the tutorial back - the task system seemed to be a better way to educate new players. I think you'd have to ask content if you want more info (they'll be along shortly) Technical Director

First question.
You can't deny that the majority of Player Mods seem to come from the same groups of people. That's fine but there are many more players out there who would be well fitted to being a mod but don't get the chance because they don't mix with the right people.

If you don't do enough of it already, might I suggest, checking the odd random world, moderately sized clan and even different time zones?

Second Question
Again on Mods...
You once mentioned some of the measures you go to in checking potential player mods and the security measures that are required.

It's good to see how strict you are on this but doesn't it go a bit overboard? Couldn't newly recruited mods be taught to beef up their account security when err... inducted, rather than just knocking potential candidates off the list?

Hmm maybe, account security is an issue for P Mods - I know we are fussy but it's only for the best reasons - nobody wants a P Mod on the loose that could be controlled by someone who isn't;t the original owner and therefore doesn't have the strong tie to the account and could go round wrecking innocent players experiences.

@Mod Jane any plans to do the old style Q&A newspost after the Q&A so we can find answers without the thread dissapearing in a few months time? I ask this because I am a huge fan of the future updates forum and this helps us speculate.

I understand if there are not plans for this atm but can I ask you to consider it for the future.

By any chance could we get a screenshot or something similar of how the report system works? do you get a snapshot of ingame, is it purely text logs, and even then so with such reports on macroing, do you get statistics sent from the client? I've always wondered how you could indeed record any of that.. Being able to monitor every mouse movement from each player real-time is surely impossible.

The only reason bot threads would be locked is if they are not posted in the correct forum, or if someone was encouraging others to download and use a bot in RuneScape.

There are plenty of bot discussion threads in the forum that you have mentioned. That is exactly where I go to get feedback regarding bots from the community to pass on to the relevant departments here.

Q.) Mod Jane – Which teams do you think could be available for a future Q&A? Will we be able to vote for which team we’d like to ask questions to next?

The reason the Game Engine Team were here tonight was due to a quick poll back in February this year. They won which is why they're here tonight.

Mod Pi and Mod Giragast are here because we thought you'd love to ask questions about future update.

We'll definitely put up another quick poll for you guys to choose from. But maybe we'll do it in two parts again. I think this Q&A with parts 1 and 2 have worked really well. Besides I have a department in mind that I'm sure many people here would love to grill!
