Sounds like a lot of fun actually! Various ways to earn these tickets, something for everyone hopefully.
I just have a comment about future possible art contests you may hold. Making art varies person to person, because some are more minimalist, and some choose more time consuming mediums to use.
If you were to hold a open art contest, I strongly advise you to give it a minimum of 4 weeks after official announcement (but also a 2 week heads up in the form of a unofficial announcement).
The two art forms I do are both time consuming, paper cutting, or using mixed media watercolors. On top of that- I have to work and have duties at home. Giving me only 2 weeks to complete a art contest will not work well, at least with the mediums I want to use. I could just sketch or do a little computer art, but I'd like to make something detailed.
Now if you limited it to a comic style, or only computer art, then we'd be able to get away with a shorter time period for a art contest.
However, that's just me view of things. Certainly, I'd try to do my best in the time allotted, but a longer time period for art contests would be beneficial to all.
Think of how often your creative teams are trying to think up something knew and just get stumped, that has to happen. It would be equally as frustrating to have a short time frame then get mind fog.
Thanks for these future opportunities though, I think this is something the whole community will enjoy.
And just a question- with so many vying for Big Tickets- will some contests offer second and third place prizes as well? For the first machinma contest I remember second and third place winners getting some rewards too.
I imagine it won't be for every contest, but I am just curious is some runners up will be acknowledged in some way.
