First of all, congratulations Gambit on winning May's draw!

As mentioned in the last news post, we're currently contacting the two winners of the July Big Ticket draw and as soon as they've been confirmed I'll get their names up on the front page.

Mattan100, to answer your question:

First of all, no, the concept of giving tickets away to community minded players certainly hasn't been dropped. In fact we've been reaching out to community minded players recently, some of whom we've invited to Runefest, some of whom will be visiting Jagex later than that. We haven't been shouting about who these guys are, as we reckon it's up to them to decide if they want to tell players they've been invited.

Regarding competitions - the Golden Gnomes is huge, we want it to be the biggest RS video competition to date and for a big competition you need big prizes. This is why we're giving away 6 Big Tickets to winners of the Golden Gnomes. In the case of the gallery competition, we want to find a whole bunch of winners for that, and unfortunately we can't give them all Big Tickets (there might be 20 winners for all we know!). We know there's a huge amount of artistic talent out there in the RS community, and we didn't want to have to narrow prizes down to just a few select winners.

We've found video competitions to be some of the most popular competitions we've run in the past, which is why we've always enjoyed doing them! That's not to say we won't be running other types of competitions with equally cool prizes though as we know there's a lot of creativity out there!

I wish I had video making/drawing skills. It's depressing.

You guys should add a singing category, rofl. Like, pick a Runescape tune and ask for people to add lyrics and sing it. 'Cause I like singing. >.>

Thank you Hohbein, your post definitely restored my peace of mind to what was left of it before ( :P ) and equally restored my faith in the variety of coming Big Ticket competitions.

Just as an addition I have to agree with Epsilonyx, a music or writing contest (RuneScape themed this time p10x!) would be gruesomely awesome and would get me working on the massive masterpiece which would put me in a honourable last place.
The results aren´t the most important, but the feeling you´ve done your best at something - there is no exception for this rule, not even for the community (well, maybe it is because you´ve already won noticing new fun things).

Mod Hohbein, I can understand why you can't give the "Big Ticket" out to the winners of the Gallery competition, but it seems it's always the videomakers that are spoiled.

So far there have been 3 video competitions and each one of them offer lifetime membership, along with a trip.

I understand that video makers tend to gather more popularity than us *sigh* lowly writers, but could you just once even consider a competition which extends the oppertunity to get a "Big Ticket" to the talented people who aren't video makers?

It could occur at the same rate as the video competitions, I just feel awful being left out in the cold because I'm better at writing, than I am at videomaking.
