As for the difference between Jagex RWTing and RWT companies doing it is that we do it without negatively impacting on Runescape and use the revenue generated to make Runescape better.

Lol, did Mod Mat K just admit Jagex is RWTing?

Again you seem to be missing that players are discontent with the ingame bonuses you can get for cash as a result of your marketing. We're not against the marketing, we're against the perks that you're adding to the game and its mechanics instead of exploring other means of advertisement.
For example, adding a few days of extra membership instead for R.A.F..

I fail to see why a XP boost was necessary especially when you can reduce membership by 15%. XP is what you should never touch. Yet you don't seem to understand that.
I'm not talking about things like Gilded Altars, etc but XP boosts you as a company implement as a marketing scheme. double XP was bad enough but RAF is something we can't control. Don't you get that?
We all have access to Bonus XP, providing our shedule is free. Not everyone get access to RAF. Which is of course accessed by making a new account and spending a extra £30 a year. That's RWT. You can't compare that to membership.

I can't say that that is too reassuring. To me it sounds like the main reason you're saying it's alright, is because you get the money. I would argue that the negative effects of rwting run deeper than that and the actual items/exp it brings in-game in exchange for world cash is just an equal negative impact.
AAlso about the 10% being nothing, I for one would find a 10% boost rather helpful in quite bit, it all adds up.

The problem with your logic Raistlen is that in order to get the gold, the goldseller is filling the game up with bots. That's something we won't be doing - obviously.
@Tamond - That is a very difficult thing for me to answer, but I understand why you feel the way you do. I play several online games, one of which is closing and to be honest, I'd rather it kept going by aggressive marketing and other tricks and tools. That's not to draw any parallels with the success of Runescape, but I think it is important to maintain that marketing the game using things like RaF, BXPW, the katana, loyalty points and the latest membership bundle is something which will help to grow Runescape and Jagex.
Mat.
