To Despaard: Sir Bhuler? Is that *you*?
To Halo Person: Thank you for the vague response... While looking through one of the question and answer session with T. S. Church the other day, though, I found something that seemed to comment on a release date, although possibly not as specific as what you have apparently found.
I will now go search for the quote.
Whew! That took a while longer than I anticipated. It was well-hidden.
'Q: 1.) In your books, you only use a handful of characters from the actual Runescape, and made the rest up. Why did you do that, and not use more real characters? 3.) Would you ask the people at Jegax to add some of the characters from your book into the game? 4.) If you write another Runescape naval, when will it be out! (Ilug)
A: This is a way of making sure I do not endanger any continuity. The books are based a few years before we enter the game, so it's natural for a few changes amongst characters to be here. In repsonse to Q3, go and speak to sir Amik, Doric, Reldo or King Roald. To 4, I would say next year.'
The key parts of that:
'4.) If you write another Runescape naval, when will it be out!'
'To 4, I would say next year.'

After doing some research (on the same website that leaked the name for Return to Canifis) the third RS novel will be called "Legacy of Blood" and is set to release June 19, 2012.
After reading this, I danced for 10 minutes while listening to Rhapsody/Rhapsody of Fire... Is that bad?

I *might* vaguely remember something about the name of Return to Canifis being leaked, although I cannot remember for certain.
This is interesting news if true, though! Legacy of Blood... It sounds like the title of a Myreque quest.
I am a fan of both RuneScape quests and the novels, so I like to combine them and consider the novels canonical and such, and... The novels thus far have, I do believe, enhanced my questing experiences.
19th June... Very interesting stuff, Halo Person. Thank you. Were they supposed to leak this information, though...?
It might not actually be in June, of course. There can be delays. As I am sure someone as well-informed as yourself recalls, Return to Canifis was seemingly originally slated for a February release, but ended up being pushed back to March.
Halo Person, I really am grateful for your valuable information and such. Clearly, you are better-informed than I, and I am glad for it.
I read it a long time ago, when it came out. Was a good read. Keep going!!!!
Jagex, I'd like for you to hire more authors for more books. Would be aweeesome.
Your forum avatar and your statement on being named after a character from the previous novel, my lord.
Now, Zero Kiryu, did you honestly think there would *not* be a third one?
...and Flin... Are you sure you would trust other authors? Church seems to have talent, but not every author might have that sort of capability.
A certain other extremely well-known major MMO that markets extensively... You know the one... apparently has tie-in novels as well, and I was once told by someone I knew ingame... Either in a certain friends chat or my clan's chat...
...Of a certain issue concerning said novels. There are apparently multiple authors for those, and my source seemed to have a poor opinion of the work of one of those authors... Even mentioning a work which lore fans of that game wish were not canon, or something, but unfortunately... It is.
...Should we not leave this to Master Church, unless Jagex will otherwise, lest we meet a similar fate?
