I understand the reasons for this update, but I do find the lack of any interaction from the staff for over a week is quite unprofessional.

I don't see any reason why they needed to delete the foreign forums. For example the Finnish forums worked perfectly, even without a J-mod, as our forum mods were (and still are) helpful.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Jagex, stop. Please. Removing rants and keeping compliments was a slap to the face, but now this?
God, I swear Mod Baker and Steve are oblivious to everything, and are new to the forums.
This is actually discriminatory. My country, USA, tried to make English the official language, which failed epicly. Nice try Jagex, but not everyone speaks English. I'm not asking to consider EVERYONE but leave it how it is. Jagex can definitely afford a full time J-mod in every department because they get millions a month. They also don't have a customer support which also makes them a lot of money because customer support costs money.

As a person who appreciates linguistic diversity and speaks several languages, it is upsetting to have seen them go!

What should we do if we have players who require assistance in Polish/Spanish/etc - where should we direct them?
