I recommend using Hypercam2, CamStudio, or Camtasia to record your videos. Hypercam2 and Camtasia cost money, but you can get a free trial version of Hypercam2 or Camtasia. The trial version of Hypercam2 does not expire but the video clips will have a watermark that says "Unregistered Hypercam2" at the top. The Camtasia trial expires after 30 days, but the video quality is probably better than Hypercam2. I've always used Unregistered Hypercam2 to record my videos because I find it a lot less laggy and faster than Camtasia, and the quality seems to be better than CamStudio... as for the watermark on Hypercam2... I just crop it out using Sony Vegas.
For editing, you can use Windows Movie Maker (already loaded on windows computers) or you can download a free trial of Sony Vegas, which lasts 30 days. I recommend Sony Vegas (that's what most RS video makers use these days) :P
Good luck and have fun guys :)

I have hypercam2 and i know how to use it, but when i try to import my clips into windows movie maker, it suddenly goes low quality and i can barely read what i say, can anyone help?
Plus, the frame rate is super slow, but i think that's just my computer.
