You know...
Since scenes hardly ever interact with each other anymore, it makes me wonder if any sort of guide has a purpose now. This one or the other one. These guides are in place to, more or less, maintain cohesion and mutual understanding between groups.
But if they don't really cross paths anymore, are guides
needed
?
I wouldn't have asked this in the past because in the past, people at least
tried
to intersect, and did a...horrible job of it. They did
try
, though! So a framework for just such a thing
was
needed. But from what I see now, everything is very self contained. Not only is it all self contained and exclusive from one another, people seem reasonably content and there's been little drama lately. People are
happy and having fun
. Crazy, huh.
And no matter what form that fun takes, if it exists, it should be taken care of. So what I'm thinking here, is that this thread kind of gives an illusion that the community is something that it isn't. This whole sorta big cohesive place. But it's not anymore. (hasn't been like so since I made my own guide tbh) This could be, in fact, misleading to new people.
Perhaps any sections that imply how one should do their thing here could be removed? Like, don't even list out the rules anymore, maybe. People are having lots of fun with their groups and not paying attention to those rules. I mean, my namesake character is a bonafide deity that could literally kill someone by a clench of a fist intertwining telekinesis and blood magic in order to close a carotid artery. But me and my pals have fun anyways. I could say why people might find such a character fun to interact with, but that's not really the point, is it? Fun is fun and it's turning out that people are having fun despite breaking the "rules". So why have them at all?
Save yourself.
Savior self.
