Magic Summary


Magical RP is typically one of Kandarin's focal points, and we have a famous history of starting many plots involving the arcane. Characters who are wizards, warlocks, sorcerers and the like will have an easy time getting involved in our roleplay, as Kandarin is wrought with magical mysteries, dark forces, and powerful artifacts waiting to be uncovered.

The Arcanists

A faction created by the Emperor himself, The Arcanists are a faction of extremely talented magi (and on special occasions, their apprentices) that take on tasks of arcane nature in the Empire. This includes assisting with magical mishaps, dealing with magical threats to the Empire, and cataloguing powerful artifacts to assure they don't fall into the wrong hands. They are led by the Imperial High Arcanists, and each member answers directly to the Emperor.

The Mages' Guild

For ages, the Mages' Guild has been a centre of magical knowledge and lore. A key difference between this guild and the Wizards' Tower is that only successful magi are even allowed access. It is not a place for a young mage coming to learn, but a journeyman mage looking to further their skill and put it to use in combat or study. It is usually led by a Guildmaster or the Imperial High Arcanist, along with a small council that help oversee the guilds' interests.

Military Summary


Military and combative RP is often spotlighted in Kandarin, and 42's community as a whole. It carries many taboos and sometimes a bad reputation, but such things are easily squashed by communication and good story elements. As there are many characters skilled in combat and war, Kandarin caters to this by supplying several sources of military-style groups.

Imperial Kandar Army

More typically known as simply "The Armsmen", Kandarin's primary military force has forever been a symbol of their power and authority on Gielinor. Historically famed as one of the most skilled militaries, this feared faction and its tactical commanders are always looking to add more to their number.

The Dragon Knights

The Most Noble Order of the Dragon is Kandarin's most notable noble order. These Knights serve the Imperial Crown directly, and their roots travel far through Kandarin's history. More info .

The Imperial Inquisition

Previously called The Kandar Inquisition, this secretive faction are the force which combats the supernatural threats of Kandarin. Skilled warriors, mages, and intelligent minds come together to defend the realm from the most dark plots and creatures. More info.
