Armadyl Communiqué, as posted by the Grandmaster of His Guardians
34 Moevyng (March 13)
The Bandosians have rejected our request for a diplomatic meeting. The teleportation runes were knocked out of our brave diplomat's hands before he could use them, and he was beaten by the Bandosians. They had him brought back to Troll Country, undoubtedly to subject him to more horrors.
I sent a small strike force to ambush the convoy and rescue Thomas, though the Bandosians proved to be more resilient than expected. Sir Stephen Sparrow was killed in the attack, and reverend Thomas Fletcher was lost. Keep these two souls, and the souls of all those that have been killed in the recent conflicts, in your minds as we move on.
Sir Gavin has returned from his mission in Senntisten, with evidence that we can not, in fact, trust the Zarosians. He has informed me that a particular Mr. X of the Zarosians planned a fake battle with the Serenists, in hope that the conflict would spur Sliske and his aides to gift a powerful artifact to them, that the two factions would then share. When the elves arrived, however, they were brutally murdered, and the Zarosians claimed the artifact for themselves.
These actions are reprehensible, and the Zarosians will not get away with them. They will feel Armadyl's justice soon enough. We must first deal with the Bandosians, of course. We will be working with the White Knights of Asgarnia to bring an expedited end to their war machine.
There will be a service to our fallen Guardians later this week, to which I plan on inviting the White Knights, and any others who wish to aid in the fight against injustice.
((Above is my character's take on what occurred. I would like to do a non-combat RP sometime this week, a casual thing to introduce the White Knights to the Guardians))
The spirit staying with the Guardians in the Temple of Ikov has been captured* by our mages, in light of the recent actions of the Zarosian faction. The spirit will be tried before an Armadylean court to determine what should become of it. If you would like to participate as a prosecutor, the spirit's defendant, or a member of the jury, please post here and show up for the event.
It will be this Sunday, March 20th at 3 PM EST. Place still needs to be decided- Skyreach will be taken over with the Easter event and Armadyl's Tower might not be in a condition to hold this sort of thing, so we're gonna have to work something out.
*The arrest was auto'd with the permission of the spirit's player, Ptolemy Dean, in light of getting this fun little roleplay going. I mean no ill intention OOC, and ultimately the fate of their character will be up to them.
The following is posted in places of Armadylean worship:
Armadyl Communiqué, as posted by the Grandmaster of His Guardians
5 Bennath (March 22)
It is with great displeasure that I write on the events that transpired at our Lord's tower recently. The lives of the brave men and women who left their lives in Asgarnia and Misthalin to join the cause of our Lord, and the lives of the Guardians who have long fought to protect His ideals, came under attack by a deadly and malignant act of war.
The Bandosians intended to frighten us. They have failed. The Guardians and all Armadyleans loyal to His cause will continue to fight for what is Just. Let us all keep those who perished in our minds, do not let their loss be in vain. Together, let us continue the fight for a unified and peaceful world.
On papers posted in Skyreach, the following would be added:
An entire Bandosian invasion force sneaked into our lands and caught us by surprise. It will not happen again. Aerial patrols are to be doubled, and I want a team on the ground searching for goblin tunnels they could have used.
If our lands come under attack again and we lack the resources to defend it without significant loss of life , the order is to grab what you can and retreat. Lives are more important than lands.
(Event Name: Scavenger Hunt)
( Time: 5 PM EST)
( Date: Monday, March 28)
( Location: Abandoned Citadel (Empyrean Citadel, maybe) )
( Description: The Armadyleans are at war, and war requires resources. A group of Armadyleans has been sent to travel to an old citadel, forgotten above the clouds long ago, and search it for anything useful.)
I've decided this will be Monday. Trial may or may not be resumed next week as well.
The above event has been indefinitely canceled. I do apologize for being unable to roleplay, but unfortunately it looks like things won't get better for at least a week. My internet has made it difficult to attend events, and pretty much impossible to host them.
In the meantime, Tom has offered to host some Armadylean events. The scavenger hunt rp may or may not lead into a small plot I would like to get going when I return. Of course if more than a couple weeks go by before I can get back into this without interruption, it may be necessary to look into a new faction leader.
Either way, Guardians rp will resume as soon as possible, and feel free to do rp without me.
The hunt for resources is on. A small Armadylean search team has made landfall, in the sky. It is their job to search this ancient citadel for anything that could benefit the Armadylean cause, though they may also find themselves uncovering some previously unknown Armadylean history.
EVENT PLANNED FOR: 3 PM EST, April 8
Please let me know if this doesn't work for you.
It's been too long since this clan has had some rp. I plan to fix that, but it looks like I'm going to need your help. Please respond by telling me which of the following rp's you would attend, and whether Friday, Saturday, or Sunday work best for you. Alternatively you can pm me in-game, and I am open to other rp ideas or collaboration between clans.
[
War With the Bandosians
]: We could resume fighting with the Chosen Battalion. This is an obvious choice, Guardians shouldn't be content with a WOMD lying in Bandosian hands! Would require cooperation with the Chosen Battalion.
[
Confronting the Zarosians
]: I'll need to speak with Ptolemy for a time to pick that court roleplay back up, or we could drop it altogether. Regardless, the Zarosians have some explaining to do. Would require cooperation with the Zarosian faction.
[
Misthalite Peace Conference
]: If we choose to get involved in the free-for-all version of Varrock. This is more of a May thing really though, and it could tie in to whatever occurs during River of Blood. Maybe. Would require cooperation with multiple factions.
[
Citadel Exploring
]: The plot posted above. Currently the only Armadyl specific event I have thought of. I would act as GM for this, and it could introduce some fan-made lore and artifacts to the Guardians.
