For a man of the Lord does not judge another without warrant, nor does he unendingly seek himself to be above, but among fellow men of the Lord. A man of the Lord should act swiftly, whether it is with diplomacy or with firm and warranted punishment so as to ensure that gods and men, alike, shall no longer bring injustice upon one another. It is not only His duty, but ours too, to ensure the protection of His law.


And so, I question your ability to truly command this Order in accord with the word of Armadyl, for you only seem to speak of yourself. I question your ability to maintain an honest and infrangible reputation given the blatant and unwarranted dishonesty you have already told. Neither I nor my successor had yet to hear your complaints, until your dishonest and unprecedented publication, and it is a general consensus among the ranks of the Guardians that the policy of this leadership is just, and true to the word of Armadyl.

Who are you, I dare ask, to question the faiths of the justiciars of the Lord? Hi, I'm Dan.

A Final Retort

I will not rise to these continued allegations towards my character, and assertions that because I criticise your policies, your mishandling of our Order, I am a bad Armadylean. If there is anything that our Lord treasures above all else, it is the freedom to speak one's mind and hold one's opinions on something, and I, and those that I represent, will continue to criticise your dead set intentions to drive this Order into an unsupported and impossible war.

To even suggest that to criticise you and your direction is anti-Armadylean is in itself anti-Armadylean, and it indicates a resistance to criticism and a stubbornness which is not befitting of an Armadylean. Both you and your successor have not heard my complaints due to a ridiculous refusal, which shames the openness of the Armadylean faith that the Presbytery has worked on, in open debate with others to present the Armadylean belief system in context with both situations and other belief systems.

The Order is not in a condition for creating a war. It is not in the condition to wage this campaign that you are so blindly set on instigating. I will speak with all candour, and with all truthfulness as the people of Gielinor deserve, to admit that the Guardians of Armadyl are not in a suitable situation to pursue conflict with the Cravens. Are we to throw ourselves onto pikes for your personal vendetta, Joanna? Are we to render ourselves broken and useless to the people of Gielinor in order to satisfy one conflict? We must be utilitarian in our approach, and do the most good for the most people, and that is not achieved by crippling and destroying our Order in a conflict with the Cravens. Your diplomacy has failed, thanks to your legendary disrespect to the dignities of people's individual thrones, and now you have not only made action against the Cravens tactically impossible, but you have made it so that our standing in the world is utterly devastated. We are mistrusted by the Asgarnians, to the extent where their governors, supported by their people, legitimate and lawful, wish to see our order removed from their Kingdom. Similar discontent exists elsewhere in the world, where the confrontational policies of Joanna Lavelle have destroyed the Order's own legitimacy.

We have become a blunt sword, because we are both prohibited from diplomatic action by our poor reputation, and incapacitated from military approaches, because we are unable to make tangible alliances.

Stop this. The future of our God and our people is dependent on an end to the policy of conflict. We must preserve our relics with ardent safety and security to keep them from the wrong hands, we must maintain a diplomatic approach and only resort to military means in the most extreme circumstances, and we must create a more cooperative approach.

Your role did not place you approach reproach, Joanna, and neither does it grant immunity to your successor. Criticism will come, and you shall answer it, one way or another. The people of the Mort Myre Swamps, the members of these Barrows tribes, have contacted us in request for assistance once again. One of their burial mounds has been destroyed by a local cult. This attack on a place of worship will not be tolerated.

One of the chieftains, a young man named Guther, has informed me of a rather powerful amulet in possession of one of the tribesmen. He believes the cult will try and take this amulet to use it against the tribes, and we have been called to protect it. A team of Guardians needs to mobilize as quickly as possible to secure this artifact. Hopefully we can intercept the cultist*' attempt on the amulet and find out more about this group.


EDIT:
Event went well. Well not really, we lost, but it was fun. Sir Gavin claims that a third party, a man who called himself Baal, claimed the amulet and intends to use it against the cult.
Also, two items have been added to the vaults in Skyreach. One is a scrying orb, recorded on which is what has been claimed as video evidence of the Chosen Battalion working to reconstruct the Scarecrow. The Guardians are unsure of whether this footage is real or not. Second is a rune scimitar, retrieved by Sir Gavin during his mission in Morytania.

Greetings, all citizens of Gielinor, Armadylean or otherwise. This is David Ornus. I represent a faction known as the Guardians of Armadyl. You may have heard of us over the last few months. Some of you may have even heard that we do not follow the teachings of Armadyl.

But the truth is, it doesn't matter. There are those among us that would tell you there is only one true God. There are many who are actively trying to make it so. And they almost have what they want. If we let these games go on, allow the spoils to go to those with the most blood on their hands and leave the rest in the dust, then our dream will be lost. The winner will have absolute control. And thus I implore you, regardless of which God you call your own, to come to the Satellite, and help us stop these games. Join the fight for your right to a unified world.


The Satellite is one of Armadyl's many floating citadels. A lodestone has been installed there, for easy access.

EDIT: The event is planned for 00:30 Game Time. So Wednesday, technically.

Last week, I was away on a trip to Misthalin. In truth, I was meeting with a representative of the enigmatic Zarosian people. I have decided to take steps towards working with the Zarosians. However, given their shady history, I am not sure they are to be trusted, and I am sure many of you may share that sentiment.

In the meantime, I have decided to establish peace between our peoples. We will not strike the Zarosians unless they prove to be guilty of injustice. A representative from our Order has been sent to live with them in their headquarters to ensure they do not keep secrets from us. Likewise, a Zarosian representative will be spending time with the infantry in the Temple of Ikov, to prove that we Armadyleans have no secrets to hide.

A final note: There will be training exercises for Guardians of all ranks every day, starting this week. These exercises will differ from the normal routine in that they are specifically designed to teach our soldiers how to effectively fight goblins, and other common members of the Bandosians, in anticipation of being forced into battle with the Chosen Battalion.
