As word of David's ascension to the office of the Grand Master spreads across the channels of the Guardians, many, undoubtedly, began to wonder what was next. Guardians gathered in the courtyard of Skyreach, when a young woman of a rather small stature marches through the large doors of the Grand Hall. Silver eyes were cast upon a crowd, gathered in uncertainty, and a tiny relief could be felt as she lifts her chin high and steps forward. Presenting herself with her soft smile, the former Grand Master raises her left fist high up into the clouds which gave Skyreach its home. The Guardians gathered stood at attention, looking onto her intently.
Then, finally, she spoke.
"Today, I leave not the faith which binds us; I leave neither my brothers and sisters, nor the Vanguard which I have seen flourish into an established, respected order which shall live on into the new age - our new age.
Upon rising to the helm of this great order, I taught a doctrine; reborn from the ashes of the old, persisting in the common goal of justice. But, even I learned from my role; I learned to see a greater compassion in people, to accept and embrace like-minded people of all walks of life, and that the establishment of a hope and fortitude upon a world of tragedy and destruction is the true path which all people should have to take as their moral responsibility.
That is why we are here, Guardians; in this world of darkness, we are the Light.
In this world of injustice, we are, with the authority of our Great Doctrine, the Judge.
In this world of war and disaster, we are His keepers of peace and His humanitarians.
We, Guardians, are not alone in this responsibility. Kings and Queens, common men and noblemen alike, have a moral obligation to see through the pursuit of justice, the maintenance of peace and the restoration of order. Rejoice, for today we are revolutionaries but tomorrow we will be looked upon with significance for ages to come.
Hi, I'm Dan.
