The Archmage

The Archmage is the official leader of the tower. They are responsible for the administration of the tower, the safety of its members and to ensure a high quality of magical research is practiced. They are also responsible for publishing quests and job requests, assigning their difficulties and ensuring that the public’s problems will be solved as soon as possible.

While they hold complete authority of the tower and its members the Archmage assigns advisers to help with decision making and general admin. The Archmage also serves as a public figure, representing the Tower when in discussion with Gielinor’s governments and other institutions.

The Masters

Master Wizards a.k.a Masters, are the Tower’s elite members. These mages are strong and talented individuals who have developed their skills over the years and can now demonstrate their expertise in one or more schools of magic.

Masters are allowed to partake in the harder Master ranked quests, allowing them to use their elite magical skills to combat these difficult tasks. The Tower will take only a 10% of their rewards from Quests and Jobs as an administration fee.

Masters may also mentor up to two Tower Apprentices to teach magic two. This responsibility is serious as their reputation and role as an elite wizard may be put on the line should their students fail their promotion exams.

Wizards' Tower

The Wizards

Tower Wizards are the most common and basic rank found at Wizards’ Tower. These mages are the equivalent of a Crafting Guild’s journeyman, where they have finished their apprenticeships and are fully-fledged Wizards but they do not have the experience or mastery over magic to be considered an expert or elite mage.

Wizards are allowed to conduct their own research with the Archmage’s approval and may also partake in Intermediate ranked Quests. 50% of the rewards from these tasks are taken by the Tower as an administration fee.

Wizards who have gained enough experience may request to partake in the Masters Promotion exam in order to demonstrate their mastery over a school or schools of magic in hopes of becoming a Master Wizard.

Reputation

Reputation (Rep) is a form of measurement the Tower uses to track its members' achievements. Rep is gained by the completion of research assignments, quests, and jobs with the quality of assignments and difficulty of quests and jobs determining how much rep member gains. A minimum amount of rep is required to partake in the promotion exams.
