Seven Edicts of Succession
Under Constitutional law, the Succession of the Crown of Varrock is limited by a set of laws; the set of primogeniture laws prohibit unlawful claims to the throne.
First Edict
The incumbent monarch must be of direct blood to the Royal House of Lavelle, and be a continued member of the household.
Second Edict
The heir is chosen, by the incumbent monarch, from the Royal House of Lavelle; if the chosen, apparent heir is not yet of age, the next most apparent heir/ess, of the Royal House of Lavelle, is permitted to ascend to the throne of Varrock and claim its Crown.
Third Edict
The heir to the Crown of Varrock
must
be a male, of the Royal House of Lavelle.
Fourth Edict
If for any reason, there is no apparent male heir, a female member of the Royal House of Lavelle, of direct blood, is permitted to ascend to the throne of Varrock.
Fifth Edict
The heir/ess to the throne of Varrock must be at the age of sixteen or higher to ascend; if the next apparent heir/ess is not of age, the next possible heir/ess, of age, of the Royal House of Lavelle is permitted to ascend.
Sixth Edict
The apparent heir must be of direct blood of the Royal House of Lavelle and a continued member of the household in order to ascend to the throne of Varrock.
Seventh Edict
Once ascended, the incumbent monarch, of the Royal House of Lavelle, is prohibited from changing their surname, by law, to any other name, and must be a continued member of the Royal House of Lavelle for the length of their reign. The throne will be abdicated, in the favor of the next apparent heir, in the case that the incumbent monarch, of the Royal House of Lavelle, wishes to change his/her surname.
