The King or Queen of Misthalin

The Golden Throne of the Kingdom of Misthalin is possessed by;

His Majesty, Nicolas II, by the grace of Saradomin, King of Misthalin

The King of Misthalin is the greatest authority of the land, they exercise absolute executive power over the land and its people, and all institutions of government devolve from him. His Majesty commands the army of the realm, unless otherwise delegated. His Majesty presides over the courts, unless the matter is under the jurisdiction of the Church. His Majesty defends the realm, and upholds law, both secular and divine.

If the King of Misthalin was to die, or abdicate his throne, his eldest child, regardless of gender, or otherwise and in the absence of a child, his closest blood relative will rise to legally succeed him on the throne.

The Lord Mayors

The Lord Mayors are the governors of townships and their hinterlands, within the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Misthalin, which are subject to election by way of popular vote of the people. Once a Lord Mayor has been elected by his or her people to govern the province, they will serve a lifetime term, unless they are removed by appeal of the public by the King, or until they resign the office. After the office is made vacant, an election is called for the people of the township to select their successor immediately.

Lord Mayor of Varrock

The Office of the Lord Mayor of Varrock is held by;

VACANT

The town of Varrock is notably consists of the town of Varrock and surrounding villages. The town of Varrock is the principal seat of township, and as such is where the incumbent Lord Mayor would work and reside.

Lord Mayor of Edgeville

The Office of the Lord Mayor of Edgeville is held by;

VACANT

The town of Edgeville is notably consists of the town of Edgeville and surrounding villages. The town of Edgeville is the principal seat of township, and as such is where the incumbent Lord Mayor would work and reside.

Varrock
The Palace of Varrock
The residence of the King and the Royal Family.

• Town of Varrock
The sprawling capital city of the Kingdom of Misthalin.

• Silvarea & the Digsite Excavations
Silvarea is a mountain pass which has been garrisoned with bowmen, defensive artillery, and equipped to combat violent and aggressive creatures that may come across the Salve.

The Digsite is an archaeological site which has been preserved by Misthalite and Varrockian monarchs throughout the years. To protect the site from attack, or plunder, Varrockian military lightly garrisons the area. The lands of Silvarea are organized under the authority of the March of Silvarea, which is held by the Lady Adeline Vernet.

• Edgeville & Gunnarsgrunn
A town on the edge of the city of Varrock, Edgeville is officially designated as a township of the kingdom, and is governed by its own lord mayor. Edgeville is known to be used extensively for military purposes by the kingdom, as with every entity before it. .

A village belonging to Gunnar's people, which is largely left alone to govern itself by the King, though the region is still governed by the Lord Mayor of Edgeville.

• Lumbridge & Draynor
Lumbridge
A town on the southernmost end of the kingdom that borders the Kharidian desert to the east. Quaint and modest, Lumbridge has long upheld loyalty to the King in Varrock. It has a number of ports; while there is a Duchy of Lumbridge, the township of Lumbridge itself has its own elected lord mayor.
Draynor
A town, with a reputation for its gloom and shady inhabitants, south of Varrock on the border of with the Asgarnian realm to the west. It has been considered to be lawless in the past; Draynor is governed by its lord mayor. Hi, I'm Dan.

Noble Houses

House of Vernet
The House of Vernet is a noble family of old origin, residing within the region of Silvarea in northwestern Misthalin. Regarded as guardians of the altar of Earth, they reside where the Moon Clan had built a channel to the essence of earth. The head of the house is the Countess Adeline Vernet. The house colors are silver and green. The house's sigil is a silver cross inside a silver circle on a green field. They possess the titles of the March of Silvarea as well as the County of Vernet, the latter of which was named for the family, and many mines and forges across the realm.
