Intro

Hello everyone. We are trying to build a new, active Misthalin POK that is able to generate activity, create new plotlines and interact positively with our neighbors (for the most part ;) )

I won't waste everyone's time with a generic description of how King James II is the best thing since sliced bread but instead we'll get straight down to the business of RPing.

- Bar RPs every Wednesday
- RP pretty much most days if the past week has been anything to judge by.

Lord Pyro, today is the first day of the rest of your life. Or in other words this is the beginning of my fresh start on W42 so it’s probably best that I make clear here and now what that will mean for this group. The government of this POK is not nor will it be in the foreseeable future an ally or associate of Zamorak’s Union or Forinthry, nor will it be infiltrated by that group. I have not yet committed to never playing as my former characters (potentially Danny Steel might show up in one of Varrock’s crime gangs) but they will be any part of the government. I hope that we can focus on moving past what has come before and build a new community here that does not dismiss anyone as being simply “bad” or “untouchable”.

I find myself once again having to write that I acknowledge that there is a considerable amount of disagreement between the two current Asgarnian POKs. While I have made it clear which canon I will personally be acknowledging everyone who joins this community is welcome to their own opinion and I will do my best to smooth over any issues that arise from that. So let’s get started.

A Plague in the City

When: Ongoing
Where: Lower slums of Varrock
What: The first recorded incident occurred in the Blue Moon Inn but it wasn't the last. Scores of people have been reporting falling ill of the same strange affliction, most show only symptoms of plague but a small handful have mutated in one way or another. The crown would respond by immediately placing the affected streets into quarantine while they attempted to determine the source and find a cure.

When: Every Wednesday from 8PM - 10
Where: Blue Moon Inn

Kingdom Status

War Status: At Peace, No immediate threats

Food Status: Concerning, harvests affected by local raiders

Health Status: Concerning, outbreak discovered in areas of the lower city.

Crime Status: High, Heavy gang presence in capitol but gangs are starting to turn on each other and Black Arm HQ distroyed, bandits and raiders known to be active in the countryside

Financial Status: Average, crime is impeding current growth

General Rules For Roleplayers

If you are seriously interested in joining this group then you are expected to conduct yourself like a respectful, mature adult. That is the only rule that applies to all roleplayers. Failure to exhibit acceptable behavioral affect will result in a swift kick out of Misthalin. "The greatest endeavors are achieved because of their selfless intent"

Characters who wish to join Misthalin in an official capacity (i.e. For a role in the government) are encouraged to submit an in-character letter here on the forums, to the King, stating their name, the job they are applying for and why they believe they should be accepted in that role.

If you are not joining Misthalin in a way that requires permission from the King (i.e. Joining as a merchant, criminal or other general civilian) then please fill out this quick form:

Hierarchy

The Kingdom of Misthalin will be organized as follows:

The King - King James II (Lord Pyro I) - The guy in charge (but still expected to abide by the laws of the constitution)

The Hand of the King - Sapientis de Lumine (Ridaku) - Primary adviser to the King and able to act with his authority (sorry for the GOT name but I’d a 2nd in command and we might as well call a spade a spade)

Lord Justice - Kree'har (Kreehar) - In charge of all aspects of bringing justice to Misthalin - responsible for the Guards, the courts and the prisons. As the main ruling body of Misthalin is now devoutly Armadylian, Justice is now considered linked to religion and so the Lord Justice also acts as head of the Church.

Commander of the Royal Guard - Commands all the guard forces of Misthalin. Has a mandate to drag the kingdom out of its current state of criminality. Reports to the Lord Justice.

The Chancellor - Caspar Fredericks (Oxtus) - Responsible for all economic matters within Misthalin. Sets the overall financial policy of the kingdom and is reported to by the lords of each region on all things concerning the economy.

Court Mage - Rosaline Haines (Ptolemy Dean) - Responsible for doing magical stuff
