Draynor update





Raktuber has begun and the countess has already made sure that the newest project will soon be started on. A rather fishy deal was made with Sadek Almasi in order for
a small fishing platform to be raised off the coast near Draynor.
There, local fishermen will be able to acces different kinds of fish as compared to the little amount of shrips near the coast itself. For a small fee to the benefactor of the platform, of course.

Local Draynor citizens were rather pleased with the news. A different kind of fish for dinner, more ways to get income and a place for Sadek to save up for her old day. It seems like the countess was back at her old ways after being kidnapped, stronger than ever.

First, I must apologize: forgive my informal speech, I have never written a formal letter before. That being said, I seek a place in your army. I'm a good soldier, capable of holding my own in close combat.

I suppose telling you a bit about my experiences would be good: I've spent much of my life as a mercenary. Mostly just protecting nobles or traders against brigands and the such. Still, even with something as seemingly mundane as that, I've seen my fair share of combat, and I've got the scars to prove it. The other guy, well, he's not alive to show his. Not that that's necessarily a great feat, any soldier with basic training can win a fight against a brigand. But the point is, I'm not some kid with no skills trying to make a name for himself; I've been trained in swordsmanship, I know how to fight as well if not better than the other guy.

Now, I know what you're thinking, and I'm not by any means too old to serve. I was a young boy during that time. I'm barely 23 now, so I'm still capable of keeping up with other soldiers. Also money is no issue to me. I've already made my fortune, so I won't miss the pay. I just need a change; I look around at all the things I have, and it feels like I've earned none of it. I want to do something honorable with my life, and so, I write to you. If there is a place for a former mercenary in your army, I humbly await a response.

Draynor update - Part 1





The deal of a lifetime.
The countess of Draynor came to the Island of Karamja, home of Lord James Craven, a true leviathan when it came to business and controlling the oceans of Gielinor. Putting his trust in Daisy Lavelle to control the island to her wishes as long as she doesn’t pursue a military goal for the island, she now holds the deed to Mos Le’Harmless.

And of course, a hefty buck will be forked over to James Craven, to compensate for his partial economic loss. What you were thinking James Craven wouldn’t want more gold? Quite a dent in the coffers of Draynor but this was a golden opportunity for the countess’ biggest project till date.

In the early morning after the deal was made, the countess and a handful of eager workers would sail towards the island. These people from the Varrock slums were unemployed, some due to the plague that festered within their home. Daisy has reached out to these people, like she did during her time as princess during her brothers’ reign over Misthalin.

She offered them a home in Draynor, as well as work at the local Craven brewery on the island or help as builders on Sadek Almasi’s fishing platform to speed things up and eventually be trained to be fishers.

Draynor update - Part 2



The island of Mos Le’Harmless will be transformed over time into a trade haven
, for all people of Gielinor, with of course a natural bias towards the merchant fleet of Misthalin. It will become what Daisy envisioned the perfect offshore workers’ paradise, where the traders do their trade, the crafter practise their craft and the island can prosper.

This was the gateway for Misthalin to work on extending its rich history, their knowledge of magic, their products and their people beyond the main continent and into the land of the Eastern Isles.

The people of Draynor had never imagined these sorts of opportunities before and when the story of the newly acquired island hit the village, optimism came with it. The people of Draynor would talk about infinite amounts of riches, species so strange you couldn’t even imagine them and a people so mysterious you’d never understand them.

Draynor update





After some talking and careful planning with some local miners and the Wizards’ Tower, a small though quite profitable project is being set up.
A teletab creation site.
From here, Draynor will set up shop to sell teletabs to merchants wanting to travel for commerce or locals who want to visit new places. They won’t be cheap due to the rather small set-up of this all but the Countess hopes this will at least relieve some of the stress of the merchants wanting to do their trade in Draynor.

Furthermore, I would have you know that the slandering of a Kandar Nobleman is a great insult, and a direct violation of our own laws. One I have found you guilty of, based on the content of your letter. I bid you to bring yourself and an entourage of whatever size it takes to make you feel safe, along with any number of weapons, to the Sunlit Hall in order to discuss both these apparent crimes. You will be unharmed during your stay. Until then, send no more letters. Men are to speak with words, and monarchs no less.
