Player characters start out at level 10, though people can choose to start lower if they want. This means you will have 10 skill points, 10 attribute points and 10 to spend in either of those two. The last 10 are meant to give player characters extra oomph when put against an NPC of the same level and to keep open the option available of starting as a level 1 character.

Starting at level 10? Hmm, that would make Lord Pyro quite hard to translate into this system.

Lord Pyro won't be needing a translation because we aim for everyone involved to start with a new character. The reason that he would be hard to translate is because Lord Pyro is a character created from a freeflow text based community where there were no hard set limiters like levels and attributes. These design choices of the system are intentional and based on past experiences on W42 to prevent characters from being overpowered or to have arguments spark about what a character can't and can do. Well if you don't want Lord Pyro involved it's your loss entirely I assure you lol.

On a more serious note however, with your permission, I would like to try and adapt a version of this system for public facing POK-based RP.

This sounds superb! Keeping an eye on this and spreading the word.

It's a shame so much attention is being placed in this system coming up due to past issues in the community but this overall should make for far more exciting encounters.
