Merca and Nolfinwë warped into an open plane in the woods, far west of Hemenster. After a brief exchange of words, the two began an exchange of blows in combat.
The two found themselves bleeding, seared with burns and hardly able to bring up the focus for even a teleport to escape, before Doctor Amalarik's arrival.

Not much is known of what happened since then. What's clear, is that Nolfinwë has returned to Hailawën, and, seizing the throne once again, he's preparing with his loyalists and sell-swords to formulate a plan to sweep up the human rebels and revolting royal guard before the situation gets out of hand.

Meanwhile, in a hidden hideout- Merca, Carwen and the other rebels plotted their escape. They outnumbered Nolfinwë's forces nearly three to one; however, Nolfinwë still held Hailawën. The coming struggles would be an uphill battle.

The Elvish Civil War had begun.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On an OOC note, I'd just like to get some announcements out of the way, and off my chest, just for those of you not already informed.

I'll be leaving my role of leadership for this group around the time of Nolfinwë's death as a character, or his departure from the throne- the event for which will be hosted on the 29th, at an undetermined time. While I'll still have a supporting role in it as an RP Admin, just to see to it that the group is in a good position to thrive, I do not plan on running it anymore after that.

The next leader of the clan and IC ruler will be Talonser. There's noone else I've met that I believe could have the activity, interest and will to run the group after me that would treat the playerbase fairly, and I'm proud to have him as the group's successor as such an amazing guy.

- FIELD REPORT -

At Midday on Fentuary 16th, I was dispatched to meet with Raglaw "Coed" regarding a forest fire and a suspected demon outbreak.
-
Myself, and several others showed up to accept the assignment. He told us the details of the assignment.
-
We were led into the forest, and came upon a clearing. The ground was charred, nothing but ashes and scorched trees remaining. An unidentified female "Demon hunter" was there ahead of us. She was tampering with the site.
-
Our party spread out and searched the perimeter, finding nothing we all met back in the center. Here the female monk in our party discovered some sort of arcane circle. The demon hunter began tampering with this, leading to the monk attempting to stop her, and being dragged inside of it.
-
This unleashed a demon. After a long struggle, I sustained multiple severe burn wounds, as did the raglaw and Icyene in our company. We eventually defeated the demon, and it's body was magically pulled into the hole.
-
The raglaw very likely received a severe concussion from a vicious blow the monk dealt as she crawled from the demonic pit some moments later, panicked and confused. I suspect it used her life force to manifest itself.
-
I recommend the area be sealed off from the public, and troops be sent to investigate and ensure the demon cannot cause further trouble.

Ghur and Iyanna took sentry-like positions around Fort Aegis as Elysee and Aventius moved to assist, aided by Doctor Amalarik's unexpected appearance. The apprentice under Nolfinwë, Ishbelle, took aim and blasted a breach into the walls of the fort.

And then chaos consumed them.

For the first time since the initial elven civil war in Tirannwn, elves shed blood against one another in a battle encompassing the whole of the fort. Dozens of bodies lay as Nolfinwë lead the charge inward, meeting Uwchfeistr Merca Undomer in battle. But soon enough, holding the towers- it was clear the rebels would hold the fort, and stand their ground.

Before sustaining injuries too great to process, only being kept alive by a few companions in the heat of battle, Nolfinwë gave the order to take prisoners and escape while the loyalists still could. On the outside of the fort, surprisingly enough- the rebel leader was now held prisoner. With Merca being taken back to Hailawën, the rest of the troops could celebrate their pyrrhic victory; while the rebels buried their dead, and planned a counterattack.

"With the unexpected capture of Gorfforol Vanaalia while on courier duty, Capten Troswyd of the loyalist faction was dispatched to take a minimum of one member of the guard with him- of which he chose Elysee- and to recruit a number of auxiliaries to stage an assault on Fort Aegis to recapture her. Recruiting two auxiliaries with names that were clearly aliases, Troswyd also persuaded Ishbel, apprentice court mage to the King, to attend with him. By the time they made it to the fort, it was nearly nightfall. Waiting in some nearby brush, it was only a matter of time before they began their operation.

Troswyd and Ishbel disguised themselves as guards as they entered the fort with the alias of having taken several loyalists prisoner, having them in binds. Surprisingly enough, they made it in- with a few guards asleep on the walls first, of course. Making their way to the prisoner tent, Troswyd and Hood eliminated the guard, making a little too much noise as the group funneled into the tent. Cutting away at Vanaalia's binds, they took the unconscious, malnourished prisoner and- after a few failed attempts to scale the wall- made it over with a sword planted in the crevice of the wall and some rope. After getting down, they hid in the woods while alarms sounded, before escaping the scene altogether.

Hired hands were paid, Ishbel was noted in several records for her valiant assistance without taking pay, and finally Troswyd and Elysee were able to take their fellow guard, Vanaalia, home safely."

Character Name: Tsuril Raedaan

Age (Please note we do not really have any official system for aging elves, and accept that it seems to be different for all elves): 223

Race (Elves are generally advised for the nature of this RP, with exceptions): Elf

Sector of RP (Civilian, Amddiffynnwr Uchel or Noble/Royal): Amddiffynnwr Uchel

Religion: Serenism

Physical Description: The elf stands at a fair 6'4, lithe and muscled, but not excessively so. His hairs are mud shaded in hue, their strands drawn back and bound in a short ponytail that barely reaches past the nape of his neck. His complexion's
A subtle layer of scruff darkens his jawline, growing denser towards the point of his chin. Albeit youthful, his visage's left marred by a long scar carved upon the left half of his face, drawn in a straight line from the dip beneath his eye, over the round of his cheekbone, down the edge of his mandible.

Personality: Calm, reasonable, loyal, discerning. He'd rather observe than be observed, rather listen than speak. He's confident of his skill, though bears no conceit, and watches with intent to learn what He can through watching alone. He's passionate, ambitious, honest, yet deceptive. He'd like to think His actions never bear intent to foul to any beside those with whom He shares neither blood, nor allegiance. Though, thoughts are oft biased.

Strengths: Seasoned in Swordplay, Archery, Tracking, Trapping, Skinning, Long-range scouting, camouflage, torture.

Flaws: Trained, though inexperienced, thus He's less proficient at many things, leaving much space for trial and advice. He tends to give thought to things before committing the deed, and is prone to suffering doubt. The elf believes his allegiance to the crown above all others, though He does care deeply for his peers, and may act rashly if their well-being was in jeopardy.

Backstory: "Haaah.." The elf was seated cross-legged, within the patchy shade offered by leaves turned amber, barely clinging to the pronged branches above that'd grown dry and rigid in the autumn air. His back was to the tree's trunk. He watched, the winds swirled by, within them the leaves, and He saw them quietly descend to the slowly decaying mound that'd began piling on the forest floor.

A while passed, a while longer still. The sky's azure dulled, it glowed crimson, and was engulfed by the horizon, naught left in its wake but stifling darkness. Humid, cold, eerily still. The elf rose from his rest, instinctively wrapped a hand around the cold hilt of the blade sheathed at his side.
Another day passed, hours spent contemplating while the sun rose and vanished as it did. He thought himself a sole piece of some puzzle, though he knew not where He fit. Albeit, contemplation alone no longer sufficed.

Anything else you'd like us to know?:
I have no idea what I'm doing. (I think I do, though.)

For context's sake. The backstory's really just him sitting under a tree and thinking about which side to join.

Character Name:
Synia [Sih-nee-uh] Atwald

Age:
25

Race:
Human

Sector of RP:
(Minor) Noble

Religion:
Ex-Saradominist, Godless

Physical Description:
Synia is rather tall for a woman and slender in her features. Her lips naturally form a tight frown and her eyes are a bright emerald-green. Synia’s hair is naturally dark red with lighter strands scattered intermittently, resting comfortably at jaw-length. She is ever-conscious of her appearance and lets her wardrobe do the introducing for her.

Personality:
Synia is the furthest thing from reclusive, easily making conversation with fellow nobles and serfs alike. Her greatest weapon is her ability to make allies. Despite this, she has a short temper and not much patience either, though only showing when annoyed or disrespected. She exudes confidence from her every action, in the way she speaks, walks and appears.

Strengths:
Wit, charisma, social subterfuge and the ability to make allies.

Flaws:
Physical might, dexterity and temperament.

Backstory:
Synia was born into a wealthy merchant family from Asgarnia and quickly picked up the tools of the trade: a silver tongue and a knack for communicating. When she was 20, she was married away to Viscount Nolian Atwald of Renior a small viscounty just north of West Ardougne. The two were only wed for two years before Nolian was murdered by his own brother, a heinous attempt at the Atwald property. As the widow and now the sole legitimate candidate to rule Renior, Synia embraced her title as Viscountess and became the Landholder of Renior in the stead of her late husband.

In the next three years, Synia quickly learned how to rule in Nolian’s absence and not once did she complain about her post. She was well-liked by the citizens of Renior, evaporating the little dissent that her husband left behind.

Now she is sympathetic to the rebel cause, fearing the expansion of King Nolfinwë's reign to Renior.
Do not imbibe in the slaughter.
