Okay, it was only a matter of time before i decided to be a part of this...
My character bio will come later, and i also want to put forward a bio for a new race, but until i get details sorted, would you guys mind me posting a short story?

The town of Edgeville was still suffering the after-effects of the war. Old scars take a long time to heal, and in these times suspicion still runs high...
In the town center, though, i received my biggest shock.
A man, hooded and clad in ornate armour, shut in an iron cage which was locked and bolted. His skin was paler than that of most men. I knew from my travels that he wasn't a vampyre, but the most astounding thing about him was perhaps his eyes. They were amber, and resembled those of a cat, with a thin, vertical pupil.
"Why are you in here?" I asked, cautiously.
"The men of this settlement saw me and mistook me for a demon in flesh." He spoke confidently, no hint of fear in his voice.
"How could they?" I muttered, more to myself than him, but apparently his hearing was better than mine.
"It is understandable," he said calmly, his amber cat's eyes locking on me, "They are scared, this war of yours makes them superstitious."
"You speak as if you are not human..." I inquired softly.
"I am not..." He replied, "I am Saa'Venari."
"Why are you here?" I asked, my curiosity taking hold.
"This world is Saa's refuge from Ko, and his Ko'Venari." He sighed heavily, "Saa was dying, and with her last words, sent us here, but Ko and Kai'Venari may follow."
"There are more of you?" I asked.
"There may be, or Saa'Venari may all have died in the crossing, mine was painful enough."
"Maybe i can help..." I offered, "I can pick most locks..."
"I fear not for death by these people," The Saa'Venari replied, "But i fear for others of the Saa faith."
I nodded, and began to unlock the Venari's cage.
I didn't understand who Saa, or Ko or Kai were, but i knew that somehow, what i was doing would matter...
