Subaru, Xaestalrasz, and I set out to handle the missing cart job. Pretty straightforward, find the cart, deal with whatever or whoever caused it to go missing. Merchant was a snobby asshat, but I kinda expected that. South of Varrock we found a few cart tracks, heading in opposite directions. Looked as though it had been going back and forth along the same road. Going fast and swerving, too. We asked at a nearby farmstead if anyone had seen a cart go by recently. One of the farmhands said there were three 'bandit-looking' folk racing around in a merchant cart. We followed the tracks over the nearby bridge and to, i believe it was called, 'Jedson's Mill'? Yeah, that's what the farmhand said. There, one of the mill assistants informed us that the bandits were to be back through that way in a short time, so we would have to set a trap and lay in wait. Kid was pretty scared seeing not one, but two towering grey humanoids, so I took a walk to ease his mind. While I was away, I set two groupings of earth glyphs at opposite ends of a clearing. A clearing where the cart was sure to come through. Once the conversation was over with the miller's assistant, the three of us readied our ambush in the clearing ahead. And, sure enough, the cart came racing through. I blocked them in with earthen barricades and they were forced to stop. Once they had, we unmasked the would-be bandits, where we had the revelation that they were just kids. They told us their uncle worked for the merchant, who had cut wages unfairly. In retaliation, he let his nephews run riot. However, we returned the cart to the merchant, saying the thieves were bandits and collected our pay. Oh, and I 'convinced' the merchant to give his hard-working employees a generous raise.

Name: Kei Virtuel

OOC Name: Virtual

Gender: Male

Race: Human with some Wushanko Features

Physical Description: 5'10", White luscious hair, 25 years old but looks older than what he actually is (mainly because of his white facial hair). A talented runecrafter and a mage in training. Being very wise and pious for his age, yet strong willed, he prefers to outsmart his enemies by using his magic abilities and praying for the blessing of the gods, so he isn't very proficient with the blade. But He is trained in the martial arts of Wushanko, and trains whenever he have some free time.

His equipment include a set of items her mother gave him before leaving home. A magical whistle with the power to summon Freelancer, a pegasus from his family ranch (On the condition he would use it to visit home, at least once every two days). A Mysterious Ornamental staff which flames burn as brightly as the determination of the people around it but that doesn't appear to be specially powerfull. He mostly uses blue or white magical robes with decorative patterns that clearly identify him with Saradomin. And is always followed whenever possible by Silverlight, an skypouncer Kei's father gave him as a cub when Kei was a teenager. Silverlight is very docile and loyal, but is not trained and can be very stubborn.

History: Kei Virtuel was born in an island of the Wushanko archipelago. Only Child of an ex-adventurer from Misthalin and a Wushankian merchant which later moved to Misthalin for a better place to raise their child. Kei grew up tending the family business of cultivating exotic herbs and raising unicorns. He enjoyed listening to his father's stories, stories of: adventure, heroism and battles between the light and the dark; This gave him the wisdom some say only experience can give you. His mother showed him lots of love... lots of TOUGH Wushankian love; which taught him discipline, respect and determination.

Yet, one day he and his mother began noticing something strange about his father. He had developed a blank expression, working non-stop, while not responding at all to any conversation. Some days after that, Kei woke up to find his mother crying. She explained that his father was taken by the BotFinder General, and that he was prosecuted and found guilty of being a robot. Kei couldn't believe it. For many weeks he kept asking: why..?, why did someone as pious and righteous as his father ended up like that? Who did it? Why did the gods did nothing to help him?... But not much after that his mother gave him something. A letter and a gift from his father. A beautifully ornamented staff which flame on top began flickering and igniting when he touched it. After reading the letter he had a new found resolve; he would go out into the world in search of power and knowledge, to defend honor and goodness.

One fateful day while on his travels he was spending time at the beach in the lumbridge crater; meditating about the events which led to this crater creation. When suddenly he felt the earth trembling. Clearly the Monster Clawdia was going to emerge from the middle of the crater pretty soon. He was preparing for battle when he noticed the female adventurer Ginny getting ready just like him.

"Greetings, Did you feel it too?" Kei said. "Quite Ominous, isn't it?" Ginny said with a smirk on her face. "Indeed", Kei thought for himself withouth realizing that on that moment, he had just met his fate.

I am open to suggestions about my character. This is the first time do a Role Playing character, but I want it to be fun. Yet, I dont know how to really do so or if I am exaggerating it. I tried to keep him balanced but adding as much interesting details as possible for him to be fun. What do you guys think?

Alright, VIrtual, several topics that I would like to point out. Number one: First and foremost, Skypouncers are a rare, and very much endangered species, native only to the homeworld of the Icyenes. As such, it is questionable as to why his father would have one.

Second off, in roleplay, prayer is viewed as less of a power, and more of an inspiration. Rather than, for example, becoming completely immune to swords, the user believes that they are, and so, feel little pain. Et cetera, et cetera.

Otherwise, everything seems fine.

Very good for a first character.

Accepted.

Yep. After finishing the character I went to do some serious research and I found out the truth about skypuoncers, now I feel ashamed; I got carried away haha. I just thought it would be a good idea since I got the legendary pet. But it's okay, i can change that if you think its better that way, I can just dismiss it when Role playing. but hey, the best way to learn is to make some mistakes ^_^
On the other hand, I was surprised upon discovering horses are mythical creatures in Gielinor, but that unicorns were common. But I found no info about pegasus. :-( Just that they do exist.

Just a little question. Are you certain that's how prayer work lore wise? I read it had to do with developing spiritual power whenever you buried someone, as that action gives you the spiritual energy of the dead creature, and prayer is harnessing that power. Other theory says that apparently your spiritual force intensifies whenever you bury the dead, and that make it easier for a god to help you in a manner other gods wont notice. Maybe that only apply to The Adventurer, I dont know. But now Im curious. Prayer is my favorite combat mechanic.
Thanks beforehand for your advice and patience. I apologize for my ignorance.

(I thought I knew about lore... I have brought dishonor upon my family T.T)
EDIT: Apparently there are multiple ideas of how prayer could be implemented while role playing. But there is no general concensus, as not many people are interested. So I guess you are the boss about how it works.

So. Now that the issue has arisen, we'll update the rules to match Misthalin's standards.

Characters that are considered lorebreak Of which none of them are. or snowflakey, are to be kept to Arbiters-only rps. Sadly, these include myself, faey, swet, and a few others. That is all.

Ah, I see you didn't get the memo then. Lozz and I had a chat last night, and we settled that the Arbiters are now a public rp.
