"Something stirs across the river." The man spoke to himself, as he stood watching over the great landscape that was Morytania. His expression remained solemn, his steely gaze unyielding. A broad sword was gripped with two hands, it's tip pointed to the ground, blade shining in the moonlight.

He wasn't wrong. There was always something out there. Plotting, rising, rallying. There was always a growing power. A growing power that must be contained. We can fight against it, resist it, and maybe destroy it.

But it will take time, and all of the strength we can muster.

Information


Hello and welcome to the thread of The Salve Company!

The Salve Company is meant to function as a specified unit of the military of the Kingdom of Misthalin (the proper one), although at times it may seem like a ragtag militia of likeminded individuals more than a unit of a formal army. Whilst technically a military group, there is no sole focus on military RP. It's one aspect of a few, we aim to offer other themes, such as adventure/action, religion and mystery.

I. You will not desert your position here at the Salve, unless under specific instruction. You are a defender, and shall remain.
II. You will not lay hands on a fellow soldier here at the Salve.
III. You will not steal from the company.
IV. You will follow instructions of those above you.
V. Worship of the heretical gods Zamorak and Bandos is prohibited.

Ranks


Note: These ranks only apply to soldiers of the company. Generally, other roles will not be assigned a rank.

Captain:
The Captain is the overall authority within the Salve Company and is a respected leader. The Captain is to be devout to a 'just' God, devoted to the cause, and a skilled warrior. The Captain will organise expeditions, missions, and set objectives for the entirety of the Salve Company.

Lieutenant:
The Lieutenant is the second-in-command for the Captain. As well as assisting the Captain in his regular duties, the Lieutenant is also more responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly.

Sergeant:
An experienced soldier of the Salve Company, Sergeants are generally hardened soldiers who have experience dealing with the creatures across the Salve. They may sometimes be sent on solo missions, or to lead a mission with the less experienced.

Recruits:
Recruits are new, fresh soldiers to the Salve Company. They will have relatively little battle experience, especially with the creatures across the salve. To ensure their safety, they will generally be under constant guidance.

Roles


Of course, the Salve Company is not purely a military enterprise. To sustain itself and be managed effectively, there are other roles which need to be filled to ensure survival.

Armourer/Smith: An Armour and/or smith is needed both to create new armours and weapons, as well as fix old and broken ones.

Chefs/Cooks: To make sure everyone is well fed and in high spirits, cooks are needed to provide food. No extravagant meals needed here, the standard will do if it tastes good.

Priests: Priests will be needed to maintain morale. Primarily a Saradominist group, priests of Guthix and Armadyl may also be kept around for those who do not follow Saradomin. They may be required to give sermons before battles, and take confessions of those in the Company.

Doctor/Healer: There will undoubtedly be injuries. Someone will be needed to help patch up.

The Armoury


The Armoury is all of the armour and weaponry that is available for the use of any of the members of the Salve Company, no matter role or rank, as long as that piece of equipment is not in use.
