A Rimmington local by the name of Mary Harken was reportedly snatched from her family home one late afternoon leaving her injured teenage son as sole eyewitness. The young man was quick to cooperate, providing any information he could've gleaned from his mother's captors. She was reportedly dragged off to the woods out west to the wetlands bordering Taverley. He also sensed unholy auras emanating from them along with mentions of a blood sacrifice. Mary Harken is a widow and is the first named citizen of Rimmington to be reported but not the first to be suspected to be abducted. Rumors of a few travelers going missing have been going about as well.

The wetlands have been under surveillance by the clergy for some time now along with many other areas within Asgarnia suspected of demonic incursion. The WKs are called upon for this task despite the elements of their demonslayer team's training still woefully incomplete. It shall now be up to them to even the odds and mount a successful rescue.

With Jeoffrey's first combat training session over, he's submitted his reports on the four that showed up!

Captain Guiney - Lots of work to be done. Despite the terms required for his checkmate, he chose to be very immobile, prefers to take a stand-your-ground approach, with a loadout that's not at all complimentary. It shows in the way he responds to an all-out assault, blinding himself with his shield and refusing to disengage until the worst possible time, with the opponent's grace being what saves him. Either got flustered and forgot the terms for a checkmate against him or wanted out of the fight immediately, because he actively pushed himself in to meeting his opponent's checkmate terms in an attempt to land a blow that wouldn't even end a fight in a real duel. Recommended items for immediate improvement is either changing his loadout to a tower shield, or remembering to stay mobile and use the maneuverability offered by the kiteshield.

Acolyte Reese - Very aggressive, varies her assault below and above the belt to keep her opponent on their toes. Comes underprepared expecting to be compensated, and doesn't seem comfortable fighting without a shield, hinting that her offense relies solely on cowering at the same time. Adapted to her given checkmate terms very well, though was undoubtedly assisted in the victory by her opponent throwing themselves in to the blow. Would likely do very poorly on the defensive. Forgoes a helmet during sparring, likely adapts to cover their head and so is liable to attacks from below. Recommend square-shield for her style, need to see her on defense.

John Mcgroat - Aloof duelist that came to fight with a kitchen tool and a buckler, very light on his feet. Had no opportunity to display his proficiency in offense, as his choice of weaponry immediately forced him on the defense, which is quite clearly his weakness when equipped with kitchen tools. Fast but ineffective strikes were sent out throughout the duel and every advantage he could have had was lost by his choice of weaponry, and as such a proper evaluation will have to be carried out at a later time.

Initiate Lydia Ebril - Stone-faced but airheaded, her focus needed to be directed but once it was she showed herself to be very capable. Observing Reese and Guiney, she voiced several observations and was quite keen with her one eye. Depth perception doesn't appear to be affected. When introduced to a lighter weapon, she took a few minutes before she caught on how to use it. With an absolutely unfair advantage over John, Lydia was able to force him on the defensive and effortlessly walked through whatever strikes he sent at her, as only one of them followed the terms for his checkmate. She was slow and deliberate, doing far more than pulling her punches but barely even throwing them. Weakness is clearly offense, but appears very practiced and familiar with her loadout.

We too follow the doctrine of Saradomin, though more so towards wisdom rather than orderly conduct, though the latter is still important to us.
