The scalpel gleamed in the semi-darkness, as he made the final cut across the subject's throat. There was no resistance, but that was to be expected - the serpentes fellis specimen had been dead for weeks.

The researcher wiped the implement and rested it on the table, taking a deep breath of satisfaction. There was barely any light to speak of, but that became less and less of an issue for a seasoned hand like his as the years went by. Barely anyone else worked this late, but he was so close now to a breakthrough... Buttoning his jacket, he made his way up the steps, his footsteps echoing in the shadowed halls. His work for the evening was far from done, but- He frowned suddenly. In the silence, his ears could pick out even the slightest suggestion of sound.

He was not alone.

His brow furrowed as he looked at the stone steps that led up to the museum's ground floor. He wasn't imagining things again, was he? Not here, not now... His eyes darted about at the interplay of light and shadow. No, he was a rational man. This was no time for idle superstition. Perhaps it was his colleague - but hadn't he left? The man sighed, making up his mind and gripping the cold stone of the banister in his hand.

He emerged into the museum's foyer. "Digsite Exhibit", a dusty sign greeted his eyes, barely illuminated by the thin shafts of moonlight. The night was oddly dark and still. He squinted, despite himself. He could have sworn-

His heart leapt up into his throat. A shadowed figure was hunched over one of the display cases. Try as he might, he couldn't make out their identity in this lighting. But how had they gotten past the guards?
The Asgarnian ale must flow.

A thrill coming over him, the researcher crouched carefully behind the nearest pillar. With careful precision, the figure opened the display case and held up its prize. But wasn't that - the relic! The researcher realized. Someone was actually stealing the strange artifact! His breathing quickened. He had to get help, had to do something, but he couldn't risk being seen.

His hand reached for the pillar in the half-light to support himself.

He realized too late he'd overreached, as he went tumbling to the hard stone floor with a barely restrained cry. The room went silent. The figure had surely heard.

He rose to his hands and knees painfully, looking about.

The thief was nowhere to be seen. In their place the display case stood ajar, its contents conspicuously absent.

It was just a valuable historical item, at the end of the day, the researcher told himself. There were no strange powers at play, nothing that could be misused for more than financial gain. He was a rational man...

His vision swam as he collapsed.
The Asgarnian ale must flow.

(Seasoned knights should easily be able to handle a mere thief.) (But what if the relic really is...)

(Are you a believer?)

A mysterious Saradominist relic, recently unearthed at the dig site ruins of Saranthium, has been stolen from the Museum of Varrock. A natural historian at the Museum has reached out to the knights, and not just because of the missing item's strong Saradominist associations... The relic is rumored to possess powers not of this world - powers that might be dangerous in the wrong hands...

Application

Character Name: Douglass Vale-Blackburne

Character Age: 26

Character Race: Human

Character Description/History: Originally born in the slums of Ardougne, Douglass clawed his way up from nothingness, leaning to survive in the harshest of conditions. His sister being kidnapped and sold off necessitated his pursuit, and along the way, he got himself noticed - enough to get trained officially at the Rangers' Guild - though he was a natural at it anyway.

The trail going cold, Douglass eventually became an adventurer, a mercenary, even working with his brother for a time. His mercenary work lead him, eventually, to aiding the Temple Knights, though at the time he was unaware of their identity. He and his team's aid to the knights was invaluable, securing a large amount of bane ore for Silver Team, as well as
[REDACTED]
, and now with his mercenary work dying down and his group disbanded, he seeks to work for the white knights while he plans his next move.

Preferred Class: Warrior-Ranger hybrid

Is the quest "Wanted!" complete?: Yes.

Desired Rank: Initiate

RP Experience: Have been RP'ing for well over five years, am currently running a Morytanian Survival RP group - have engaged in more fights than I can count, both one-on-one and one-on-many, both from the perspective of a player and a GM.

White Knight Experience (OOC): Joined the white knights many, many years ago. More recently, rose to the rank of Partisan in Silver Team before it's dissolution.

Will you follow ALL of the rules?: Yes

Why do you want to join this clan group?: Because, for my character, his journey so far and where he's headed in life, joining the White Knights is the natural next step.

Misaldi Icau / Douglass Vale-Blackburne / 6/8/17

EVENTS ANNOUNCEMENT

>Ghosts of the Past<

Host:
Godwine
Date + Time:
Sunday, August 6 7:00 PM Eastern
Start Point:
Outskirts of Lumbridge
Who:
As many knights and squires as are available.
Risk level:
NORMAL
(Nothing to see here, folks. This will be perfectly fine. No risk of character death; probably no risk of even injury to your character. Right?)

The investigation at Varrock turned up little, but links begin to form in the minds of the knights... It seems the relic was stolen by a man desperate for a cure. Supernatural or not, it must be retrieved. But Lumbridge carries painful memories for some on this mission. Will the burden of the past be too much to bear?

APPLICATION FOR SPECIALIZATION TASK

Character Name: Lydia Ebril

Task: Head Chef

OOC and IC experience in field: Lydia was born to a very wealthy family in Burthorpe, and grew up in a fairly large manor, as one of two legitimate children of Armond and Anya Ebril. While she may appear to be a combat fanatic-her, being inseparable from her family sword-she was originally brought up on the fine arts of cooking, cleaning, proper etiquette for hosting company, managing home finances, and caring for children in preparation for her arranged marriage. Her own personal hobby (smithing wonderful bronze and eventually some competent ironwork) was learned in secret, under the instruction of a dwarven laborer employed in the Ebril Family mine, making her more than capable of repairing damaged kitchenware; Cooking would be just a fraction of her duties. Simply put, Lydia belongs in a kitchen.

Bonus points if that kitchen happens to be under siege.

Having said this, the recently promoted initiate is known for her ability to clean things that appear spotless after even the most scrutinizing inspection. Her signature white gloves are well-known by castle staff, and she is often found cooking and cleaning without even being ordered to, perhaps finding some sort of meditative solace in the act. She has been known to supplement the cost of supplies with her own allowance, wages, and/or savings on many occasions, and also helps restock the larder by hunting (usually with traps, often with her bare hands) and fishing (also often with her bare hands) whenever necessary.

Call her, Head Chef.
Housekeeper.
A maid.

Whatever the title, Lydia is a hands on taskmaster, often choosing to complete the job herself, or side-by-side with those under her command.

((Out of character experience? I know how to cook and clean?))
