With Karamja's ships now patrolling their southern border, Lord Pyro was quick to seize the opportunity that now presented itself. Within days the patrol boats would start to notice dark shapes flying high overhead, several times a day, difficult to make out silhouetted against the bright sun but growing increasingly more numerous. After a few days of that, the attacks would begin.

The Empire's naval wolf packs would begin a campaign of raids, up and down the border. Each strike would consist of no more than six heavily armed vessels, all attacking at considerable range. The warships would carry large numbers of cannon aboard each ship flying the red and black sails of the Empire and the symbol of Lord Pyro's house, a Zamorakian symbol set in a wheel of flames. The raids would never last long, and would consist entirely of the aggressors making using of the superior range and accuracy of the guns made with Dwarven skill in Keldagrim to inflict damage what damage they could on the opposing fleet, before retreating back south again.
