Worrying intel from the Z.I.I. suggests that the mysterious lone wolf known locally as "The Executioner" has begun raising troops by rallying a number of the god faction warbands to his side. Lord Pyro dispatches the Blood Guard to investigate the issue and report back with their findings.

It is a great day of sadness for the Empire as our honored Battlefield Commander, the legendary war hero known now as the Carnificator lost his life on a mission to slay the head
of the recent insurgency.
Following his earlier resurrection the Commander suffered health complications that would ultimately have proven terminal. Resolved to accept his fate the Commander asked to be granted one final mission, to end his life as he had lived it. Despite the illness he suffered sapping his strength, he single handedly laid waste to the insurgents camp and following a one on one duel, killed their leader, the so called "Executioner" (who was revealed to in fact be King James II, formerly of Misthalin).
In accordance with his wishes the Battlefield Commander will be publicly cremated at a state funeral in his honor. His successor will also be announced at this event.

A set of strange tracks were found leading into the deep wilderness by a routine patrol two days ago. Lord Pyro wants this discovery investigated as a matter of urgency. All volunteers for this expedition are to report to the Capitol to begin the search.

After following the mysterious tracks the group managed to locate the culprit, a Mutated Lycerta released by the Cult of Tak but not before it wiped out an entire camp of the Northern Marauder tribe. Following an extremely difficult fight the volunteers succeeded in capturing the creature and subsequent forensic studies have revealed several of the cult's secrets to the Empire.
Unfortunately these successes came at a cost, namely that the new ruling council discovered that Lord Pyro had been concealing the true seriousness of this threat from them. The council has since demanded and received answers regarding this shadowy enemy of both the Empire and the world, but has Lord Pyro shared all that he knows about this threat?

Following the death of the old Commander, tensions have risen in the South East region of Forinthry. Wandering bands of Red Storm and Ash Walker tribesmen patrol the area constantly but refuse to cooperate each blaming the other for the death of their prophesied hero. The Cult of Tak is eager to take advantage of this division and organises a strike to sweep both aside and expose the Capitol.
