It wasn't a quiet day for Burthorpe and Taverley. A procession followed a woman from place to place. The Knightess, short and young, started by praying at the ritual stone of the Druids, before presenting three items to the nearby Heroes' Guild. A Crossbow, an octopus, and a writing quill. She enterred, before shortly leaving once more, a dragonstone amulet on her neck. But this wasn't how her day ended, yet. She walked, the crowd following to Burthorpe castle, where her mother presented a tiara. Emeralds and sacred, Guthixian metal of the God Wars twisted and placed on her head.

Burthorpe not only had a new Noble, but a Noble who fought in the war against the Republic. A Noble who has since travelled the world, and earned a name for herself. And a Noble, who now sat at the head of the Principality. She was young, but Thalia Renderra represented many things to many people. Strength, passion, and honour, or weakness, rage, and a time of trouble. It depends on who you asked. But times were certainly changing, as Burthorpe carried itself into the Sixth Age.

Burthorpe is a Player-Owned City focused in Northern Asgarnia. ICly a Principality, Burthorpe is the largest Province of Asgarnia, but also one of the most troubled. Once besieged by Trolls from the Northwest, Goblins from the Northeast, with a horrifying dungeon to it's south, Burthorpe is a hardened, war-torn land trying to mend itself and the people who live there.

Even with it's hardships, the North is the most religiously diverse part of Asgarnia, hosting a large Guthixian population, a large Zamorakian population, and a Saradominist population. These three faiths have led to some tension, but let the people hold strong.

For all it's hardships, the Heroes' Guild of Burthorpe is near Burthorpe, a well known building for the experienced Heroes of Gielinor.

Burthorpe plans to make some small changes to the typical Player owned City set-up, by having much of the roleplay be driven by interaction between businesses, citizens, Nobles, and Heroes.

Regarding the standard of roleplay displayed in Asgarnia
Members of the Asgarnian 42 RP community are expected to make an effort to adhere to a good quality of roleplay, in line with accepted rules and conventions regarding metagaming, godmodding, overpowering and the like. If you’re new or unfamiliar with these, then we will happily help and support you in growing as a roleplayer.

Asgarnia 42 is a text-based roleplay group, if you engage in Themeplay or Descriptive Gameplay, you are still free to use the land of Asgarnia, though don’t expect us to interact with you.

Regarding conduct between roleplayers, in and out of the clan
Asgarnia 42 is a community of mutual respect and consideration, and it is expected that you will behave appropriately and with sensitivity to everyone in and around the clan. Discrimination, insults and other japes will not be tolerated, and will be responded to with an attempt to restore relations between the involved parties. If that is not possible, then the clan leader and her moderators reserve the right to block people from involvement in clan chats and activities.
