The Winter Throne

The Winter Throne is the seat of the King or Queen of the Fremmenik Peoples. Created by King Seff Seerspoken, each ruler of the Fremmenik as sat upon the throne since it's creation.

First made in the castle of Frostheim that rested near the Trollweis Mountains, the throne was moved in part to the Royal Longhouse in Rellekka, where it would now sit as the Royal Throne.

The current ruler of the Fremmenik is: Asgarn Hornwood

The heir is: No one, currently

Whilst Misthalin holds a Golden Throne and Kandarin a Crimson Throne, The Fremmenik's throne was carved from ice by hand. To be a sign of the Fremmenik's strength and endurance, the Winter Throne is set to rival any Southern Court from pure sight.

Council of Elders

The Council acts in duo form. In part, a part of the Royal Court in which that advises the Crown on day to day business. The Council of Elders are made up of all landed nobility from over the Kingdom from the Jarls to Thanes. Members of the Fremmenik people can be granted entrance by the Crown and Council for performing special services.

The Council meets twice a month in full, allowing any member of the Fremmenik people to bring any issue in front of the Winter Throne. It is also the time that the Winter Throne lays out any plans or large changes that would effect the population.

In times of war, the Council of Elders acts as the main War council. During the Spring months, it assists in planning the yearly raids on the Southern lands.

Religion and Culture

"The Northerns are shaped by the winters"

Cold, hard. Made of iron and ice. Shaped by the snow, through a hostile weather and wildlife, the Fremmenik People know how to survive. Based in part on the strength of your arm, the Fremmenik respect strength and intelligence. From the early days of when they were a Normadic people to now a people struggling to keep up with the times, the Fremmenik are fierce people. Said to fight without fear and walk alongside the spirits of the dead, the Northerns might be a rough people, but are truely a people of their own finally.

With the Religion of the Fremmenik People are fought upon Southern Scholars, the modern age Fremmenik worship their God-Hero V. Once a normal man that raised to Godhood through his own strength, he is the very idea of the Fremmenik in the flesh. With the All-Father Guthix long dead, V had become the point of worship for the North. With his return and then death, it is in V's name that the Fremmenik fight. Giving warmth and hope to a people that had only ever known the Winter's Winds.

The Outlanders

While the Fremmenik have become slightly more open to Outlanders, Outlanders are still generally looked down upon and treated as second class citizens. At least until the point that the Outlanders prove themselves to be of use to the Fremmenik People. But each Fremmenik is different, some might be more progressive in their views and others might hate Outlanders out right.

A share hatred of Elves, but a respect for the Dwarves of Keldagrim, Outlanders have to climb a long uphill to truly become Fremmenik. But once the trials are won, they are Outlander no more, they are only Fremmenik.

Laws of the Fremennik

|Murder

Murder is the act of killing a man in cold blood and is considered a major crime. Murderers are not entitled to a trial unless they confess their crimes to the next free man they see after committing the crime.
The typical penalty for murder is death by method of choice.

¦|Treason

Treason is the act of dishonourable rebellion and is considered a major crime. Traitors are not entitled to a trial, but may challenge the earl to an honourable duel.
The typical penalty for treason is death by beheading.

¦|Cowardice

Cowardice is the act of deserting one's peers in combat and is considered a major crime. Cowards are not entitled to a trial at court.
The typical penalty for cowardice is a beating and a three days in the stocks.

¦|Theft

Theft is the act of taking another's property without permission and is considered a minor crime. Thieves are entitled to a trial at court.
The typical penalty for theft is a fine and a day in the stocks.

¦|Assault

Assault is the act of dishonourably attacking an unwilling free man and is considered a minor crime. Assailants are entitled to a trial at court.
The typical penalty for assault is a fine and a half-day in the stocks.

Laws of the Outlanders

||Travel

All outlanders will stick to the defined paths within Fremennik land. Failure to do so in any way will be considered trespassing.

||City

Outlanders will strictly remain within the defined areas of towns and cities within Fremennik land. Failure to do so will be considered trespassing.

||Weapons

Outlanders are not allowed to carry weapons of any sort within Fremennik settlements. Failure to comply will result in the outlander being killed with their own weapon.

¦|Hunting

Any outlander found hunting within Fremennik land will be considered a poacher. Failure to comply will result in the outlander being hogtied and fed to the animal they were hunting.

¦|Respect

Whilst dealing with a Fremennik, outlanders must be respectful and courteous at all times. The Fremennik people reserve the right to beat any outlanders at their free will

The Kingdom of Ardougne

Holders of the Crimson Throne, there might be no official ties between the new Ardougnian Rulers and the Kingdom of Rellekka, but the Fremmenik has little care to hear of their old Oppressors.

The Kingdom of Camelot

Though the former Fremmenik Queen came from the South after years of living in Camelot, Rellekka has little plan to become friends with their age-old enemies. From the days of the old Grey Kings, Camelot land has been prime for raiding and now invasion.

The Kingdom of Yanille

The Vekons hold a long history of repressing the rights of the Fremmenik during their many rulerships of the North. Rellekka cares little for the opinions of these magic wielders.

The Queendom of Asgarnia
There are no official relations between the Kingdom of Rellekka and Asgarnia alongside no past. Only the old rule of the Grey Kings over the northern islands which might lead to tensions.

The Kingdom of Misthalin

The village of Gunnarsgrunn is sovereign Fremmnik land and a part of our Kin. A large Misthalite Military Base once stood there but later torn down. Relations with MIsthalin are iffy at best.
