I suggest you skim through the In-Game Roleplaying section of the forums (the one this thread is in) and take a look at a few of the threads from RP clans. You can usually recognise clan threads from the copious amounts of ASCII art around the name.

Have a look at them. If the premise of one of them interests you, see if you can join it. Most clans/groups are very accommodating to new roleplayers, so you should fit in nicely.

Well, first and foremost, welcome to role-playing! It's always good to see another player coming.

You should totally look over the other sticky, The Guide, to learn the ropes if you need to. Then, it's up to you to pick a clan; the Directory can help you with that.

And I'd recommend the Community Friends Chat; ThespianRP. Besides that, welcome :)

I apologise if this is out of bounds but I really would like an opinion on this. If it's out of bounds I'll remove it immediately:

After working with IG Roleplay Directory for awhile, I've been thinking. Everytime I bump that thread I knock down someone else's RP thread. I'd like for that to stop as everyone deserves an opportunity to advertise their thread. If possible and with the support of the community, I would like to get the Directory thread stickied so that I don't have to knock down other people's threads so please take a vote!

YEA for stickied thread
NAY for leaving it be.

There is a risk of the thread not being checked if it becomes stickied but I think that's okay. I will continue to update it regardless.

Wouldn't the thread being stickied just make it so that there's always one less other thread on the front page? XD

Regardless, I do support the idea of having that thread stickied, it'd make it much easier for newcomers to find a group that fits what they're looking for, rather than them having to browse through a multitude of threads. SO YEA The Capfather sends his regards.
