The following is a presentation of In-Character propaganda brought to you by Vetu de Vert.
"
Alas! They have beaten us!
They have taken our liberty to take to the streets, whatever shall we do under law of our righteous Duke of Vaterra, and his unsightly pet? How could we ever speak? Are we to be reduced to a baby's crawl? Are they going to take away our thoughts, and emotions?
Are we going to be thoroughly whipped as the Duke, who is so eager to bend over the Round Table - and to the King's will, of course! Oof, no wonder the Duke always looks so sour!
Of course, the Duke, who is so wicked and mere, yet, I assume, a forgiving man. It is so easy for one to betray the will of his rightly father, and for this, we apologize and do hope to make amends -
for, I am sure you know well what it is like to betray your King
. Your crude efforts, of course, show your expedience in the detriment of our campaign.
Yet, fret not, for we exist like the Dagger-ear's claim to the throne - we, by your firm hand, cease to exist.
But, have we
ever
existed at all?"
They did not come from any herald, and no one even seemed to be passing them out in the streets, nor in the markets. Yet many had one, a pamphlet of white with a green ribbon tied around it, and the stamp of two arrows crossing each other, inside of a coin-pouch.
The people may be questioned on the streets, but answered to any of the King's loyalists with only a scowl, before walking past. Those that were detained, and their pamphlets confiscated, would tell a variation of leads in their immediate interrogation. Their sister, their brother, their best friend, their aunt, their cousin-twice-removed had given it to them. Yet while there were many leads, none of them seemed to come to any sort of end. In fact, it seemed to be circles upon circles.
Yet one thing was true - the more they were detained, the more that their scowls and their frowns deepened.
Hi, I'm Dan.
