Tbh, I've seen people spend equal/more amounts of money on much more stupid shit. I don't even really think their identity matters(but I can confirm the Australian but, for what my word is worth).

Anyway, this is really just a result of a number of people in power who have little to no care about quality control, or what's left of it. It doesn't matter to them and, frankly, it isn't even surprising. The money is only part of it, while a good chunk of their motivation behind selling the land is because "HAHAHA DUDE MEMES".

It's pretty gross practice. The fact that people still humor silly shit like this really reflects the state of 42.

If the allegations here are true, and I do feel they are true, it completely undermines our entire community and any chance of resolving our differences.

Trading away territory for either in-game wealth or real-world currency completely erodes goodwill and reasoning. So-called "Leaders" who dare practise this are not going to permit any character or story development that might intervene, to stop them making a personal profit, and are going to be very motivated to remove those who persist with prejudice.

I say to everyone here, regardless of our other differences: Expose the culprits, and do not shelter them. They don't deserve your loyalty, because that loyalty is worth nothing to them when they get offered that dirty money to destroy your hard work.

AND to those who are guilty of this, I have this to say:

Shame. Absolute shame to whoever does this. If you want to go and make some extra GP, leave World 42 for good and go find a merch clan to flip on, you parasite!

We roleplay as a hobby or pastime here. Not as a career.

This. Though I doubt any form of real punishment can come from getting it out in the open. These people won't be ashamed or care in the slightest unfortunately. That said, it is good to know about it in order to stay away from such people.

Thank you. I took care to ensure that no specific players were mentioned in my original post. If it needs to be edited of course I'm more than happy to do that.
