The moon was risen high in the clear starry spring night sky over Misthalin, where the battle between Saradominist and Zarosian forces at the Digsite lasted not longer than an hour. Blood was shed and lives were lost, but at the end of that vicious hour, the Saradominists found victory.
Laughter, song, and merriment could be heard through the night as the Saradominists celebrated a victory against the defending Zarosians at a minimal loss. Having slayed two Ripper demons and either killing or scaring off a hundred some odd other infantry, the morale for the maneuvering Saradominist element was high that night. After an extensive search through the Digsite, the Spear of St. Leonidas was not found. But, a divination well of divine energy was discovered just west of the Digsite. Having secured the well, the Saradominists prepared to pack up and return to Camp Aegis at the Asgarnian border the following morning.
All survivors of the attacking element were medically examined and inspected for wounds, injuries, and Ripper demon flesh contamination for infection. In the event a soldier or knight was found contaminated, they were isolated and met with swift treatment by the medics before the formation started their march back home.
