Character name: Tristor son of Hern

Race: Human/Werewolf

Age: Looks to be 16, is actually 16.

Gender: Male

Religion: Zarosian (Spooky, I know.)

Occupation: N/a, currently

Appearance: Tristor is 5'10", he has a high muscle mass due to his nature as a werewolf. He has brown hair that's long in the front and short in the back (Curtains style), clean shaven.

Personality: Tristor is quiet a lot, and when he does speak, it is usually something well thought out and insightful. Dukale would tell him that he has wisdom far beyond his years. He enjoys a laugh, like most young people do. He's very cautious and perceptive of those around him.

Skills: he has a good knowledge of plants and other things used for healing.

Other/Misc: He's a werewolf, and that comes with all the pros and cons of it.

Bio: Tristor was born in the Northern reaches of Asgarnia, near Edgeville. His father Hern worked a lumber mill, and was teaching Tristor to work it as well. When Tristor was eight, a sickness befell him, and when it became clear that it was not in the family's power to save him, his parents frantically looked for a healer. Every healer that looked at him said there was nothing to be done for him, and his parents were close to giving up hope, when they took him to a hermit in the woods who was a known healer. The healer, a man named Dukale, said he could be saved, but it would be at a cost. Hern agreed, and Dukale told his father to wait outside. While his father waited, Dukale bit Tristor, making him a werewolf, for Dukale himself was one. Now, through his new nature as a wolf, Tristor began to heal. The price, Dukale later told Hern, was that Dukale would keep Tristor for ten years, as an indentured servant. Grudgingly, Hern went back to the mill, but oftentimes tried to come see Tristor, only to be turned away by Dukale.

As Tristor grew older, Dukale taught him how to control his powers, and Tristor became part of Dukale's pack, of which there were three others, who would often visit the hut in the woods. As they spent more time together, Dukale not only taught Tristor how to be a werewolf, but he also taught him of a forgotten deity, The Empty Lord, who wanted his followers to strive to become the best versions of themselves. Tristor took to this religion after some time, and abandoned the Saradominist views of his family.

When Tristor was fourteen, they were visited by a wounded man and his friend, who had dragged him to Dukale's hut. They did not get many people coming to the hut seeking healing, but it wasn't completely unnatural. And so, while Tristor was out gathering herbs in the woods, Dukale set to work on the injured man's leg. While Dukale was inspecting the man's leg, after washing it, he found that the blood was not from the injured man. Dukale's eyes widened as a silver dagger was thrust into the back of his spine, and howled in anguish, beginning to turn. However, the silver blade had weakened him, and before he could react, the "injured" man pulled out a silver dagger of his own, and slashed Dukale's throat open. The Hunters left the cabin, in pursuit of the others.

When Tristor returned, he found both the body of Dukale, and two of his pack-mates, Prax and Garin. Prax told him what had happened to both Dukale and their other pack-mate, Waylor. Murdered by the hunters, they were now, the three of them, leaderless and hunted. And so, the three of them decided to take off together, stronger in a pack than on their own. Eventually, they were pursued by the hunters, who now knew that Tristor was a werewolf as well.

For almost a year, the pack was able to avoid the hunters, but fate, it seems, would always catch up. Outnumbered 5 to 1, Prax, Garin, and Tristor fought against the hunters. They were forced to turn into their beast selves to survive, and were able to kill most of the hunters, though some fled in the night. Amongst the carnage, Garin laid dead among the bodies of hunters that littered the ground, and Prax was dying. Tristor suffered wounds as well, but nothing as severe as Prax. Tristor did the best he could with what he had, but the hunters had used silver weapons tipped with wolfsbane poison. Tristor stayed with Prax, but, weak himself from the attack, he was not able to save him. Then the realization hit him. He was alone. An omega wolf with no pack, known to the hunters who escaped alive. He knew he would not last long, and so, he wept. Wept for himself, but wept for those he had lost.

The threat of hunters still imminent, Tristor collected himself, and ran. He didn't know exactly where he was headed, but after weeks, he found himself still pursued by the hunters in Southern Asgarnia, where he hopes to be able to blend in, somehow.

Already spoke to you in-game, Merax but I'mma write it here too. With this app we see the first breakaway from what was established as lore in the alternative timeline of canon.

There, werewolves are, as in RS lore, born rather than the traditional means of being bitten. With this application, and with my endorsement behind it, perhaps the lore for this canon can have both variants exist. Born werewolves could hold the upper hierarchy whilst those that are made are discriminated as not being true werewolves, despite being in all ways, with the exception of once being human, the exact same.

Similarly, werewolves are, in RS lore, exclusively Zamorakian (with at least one exception) due to a phenomenon called the spirit of Zamorak. I propose that 'made' werewolves, such as Tristor, be uneffected by this phenomenon in this canon's lore and thus able to choose a god. This will likely widen the discrimination between 'Born' werewolves and 'Made' werewolves and could make for an interesting storyline later down the line.

I therefore accept this application unless a majority decide against the above idea. Personally, I feel there's no reason to deny the character solely on the grounds that he's a more traditional werewolf than those seen within RS lore.
Roll a D20 to pay respects.

Character name: Sati (sah-TEE)

Race: Human

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Religion: Was raised desert pantheon, but has been exposed to many faiths in her travels and has taken a liking to Guthix after a stay with the druids

Profession: Adventurer

Appearance: Average height, slim muscular build, Kharidian skin tone and features. Has long, unruly black hair she keeps pulled back in an attempt to tame it. Has a scar going across her collar bone. Wears a dark green and purple tunic, leggings, muddy over-the-knee boots, and a green necklace given to her by druids. Has a brown cloak she occasionally wears.

Personality: Outgoing, a little fiery, and a little ditsy with a slight Kharid accent. Is overall pretty optimistic and positive, even in terrible situations. Can be selfish and suspicious of new people, but always tries to give people the benefit of a doubt. This does not always turn out well. Definitely not a lone, mysterious wanderer.

Strengths: Strong for her size, good stamina, decent skills in melee and ranged combat, small and light on her feet.

Brief History: The first daughter of a wealthy Kharidian family, Sati ran away from home at 15 to avoid an arranged marriage to a much older man. Over the past three years, she has been travelling around most of Asgarnia and Misthalin doing odd jobs, running errands, and occasionally doing some treasure hunting. She has no contact with any of her family back in Al Kharid, but dreams of one day feeling safe enough to return.

Prefered storylines: Casual, Adventure, maaaaybe some light combat and politics

Character name: Ysles* the Grey Lady, Lady of the Veil, The Crone...

Race: human

Age: assuredly ancient.

Gender: female

Religion: philosophically she likely follows the tenets of Zamorak; but none have seen her worship through action nor ornament.

Profession: many yearn to visit her who would seek her wisdom, for her magic gives her eyes in many places. Some believe she's a fortune-teller, but she will take offense to that.

Appearance: Of all her appearances, her "true" countenance (if she truly allows men to see it) is the most terrifying; small, hunched, wrinkly and sagging, with tufts of grey hair over her face...all seems normal about her until one comes to her eyes; those wide eyes, yellow, crusted over with pus and ooze. They stare widely, unblinking like glass, inflecting strong emotions upon the hearts of those who behold her: hunger? Some sick pleasure, lapped up from the suffering she finds as she probes the recesses of the psyche?

Personality: playful/mocking; quick to judge and to speak; reclusive and bitter.

Strengths: A magician, a scholar, a philosopher, and, as a figure in so many tall-tales, one who strikes fear into many.

History: As one enters a grove of trees they call Ibanûk, he will feel like he is being watched; and he is. Insects, rodents, and the occasional deer or raccoon all will gather, their retinas shimmering in the nightly air; though the feeling is more ethereal, colder, as if something more malevolent lies beyond those gazes. Few stay long.

None know what lies within the Crone's shack, but some rumors say that any who enter it, and cannot answer her riddles, have their eyes stealen from them and devoured between cracked, stinking teeth; other rumors say this taking of eyes is a trade, a mutual agreement made in return for great power. But what this power would entail, and what these riddles may be, are mysteries. Or rather, so many versions of the story exist that none can say which is true.

Preferred storylines for this character: philosophy, psychology, heavily character-driven...perhaps some Lovecraftian horror? I already know precisely what she's capable of and although I'd like to keep it a secret for the sake of the RP, It's almost entirely non-combative and therefore harmless. I'm ready to explain her abilities to the GM if he suspects godmoding or especially metagaming.
