Seeing her last hope for the world created, Thala returned to her tower to rest, and pray that her gift would save Jakar… It is here, the hopeful goddess was naive. Once the Sirens and their potential were discovered, they were not sought to save the world, but to drive it further into the ground. Their grand abilities weren’t to be used for good, but instead for war.
It is here, our dear Diana’s story comes to hand. Born, to a simple farmer and housewife, Diana was always a particular girl of the village. She rarely ventured to the town itself, but when she did, she need only speak to make friend, even in the troubling time of the Ending War. It was no surprise though, that the town gossips found her, and her even less seen mother.. Concerning.
She was twelve, when these rumours pointed out the truth. One summer’s morning, she woke to feeling hot. Now, this wasn’t unusual in J*kar, with it’s constant drought-filled summers. But this warmth was worse. When the smoke filled her lungs, she realized what it was; a fire taking her home away. Panicked, she reached for the door to try the handle, and was rewarded with a burnt hand. It was here, beneath tears of fear, and pain she prayed, and sang. She was put through training, but even that wasn’t enough to stop the fire licking at her door, and as she fell unconscious again, she was sure she was going to die, even as she heard her mother’s own beautiful voice.
Diana awoke in a cell, as panicked as she was when the fire broke through. Unsure where she was, she was about to call for her mother till she overheard voices of men, she never knew. They explained in detail, about the fire they razed, and the Siren that died in the home, amazed that one as old as she was able to evade them for so long. Diana, was trapped with the army.
