No, I was stating that there are crossbows OTHER than the typical pull-back and repeating crossbows. The others were stated in my post above. If you're going to make a crossbow guide, you need to include ALL the different mechanisms, not just the most popular.
Also, just to pull the string back on any crossbow is extremely hard. Generally, if it's the pull back, you have about 100 pounds of draw weight. If it's a German Cranequin, you're talking 1000 pounds. Anything over 350 pounds would need a devise to pull back the string, most defiantly. I'd like to see you pull back a 350 pound string, because it's obviously hard, slow, and inefficient.
