I've been out of the loop so long, I forgot the most critical asset to any temple knight...
The damned archives.
Spent all of last night trawling through various documents...Argyle, Argyle....that he-she bitch is up to something, I just know it. Her whole family seems...odd. And she doesn't
look
like an Argyle, either, most of them have tanned, Karajaman skins, and she's as pale as snow, but that's only the tip of the iceberg...Justinine Argyle, her supposed father, has been tangled up in various operations regarding the Kinshra. When you find someone who's dossier is
that
classified, it's normally bad news.
The only people who've ever survived any of this guy's many heroic deeds are the leader of the Kinshra and some retired Kinshra spymaster living off in Catherby. It might just be paranoia, but....could they really be the ones behind selling the armour recipe? Dealing with the Kinshra behind our backs? Might just be paranoia, but a lead's a lead, and I'm not letting this die off.
...speaking of dying, I finally faced one of the many figures who's been haunting my dreams recently, and gods damn it, why didn't we check earlier?! Sir Lee, the poor damned sod me and plank took in for selling the recipe for white metal. Following up my suspicions from my earlier researches, I interviewed him...he recognized me instantly. I'm the reason he's in there, after all.
...it's not all bad news, though. Once I convinced him I'm actually on his side, he let slip that his team were smiths, barely trained in combat by the sounds of it. During the siege, one of their comrades was left for dead, a man named Lepht, I believe. Since we got word that it was specifically a member of the Kinshra who was selling off the white metal recipe in the first place...if the man they left for dead survived...Lee could be innocent. I
need
to talk to Stark. Need more time to redeem Lee, and redeem myself too.
Thoughtcrime doesn't entail death. Thoughtcrime IS death.
