In a perfect world, he kept up the facade and just remained Arenaride forever.
I wasn't sure/didn't care, at first, whether or not Arenaride and Pyro were the same person. Arenaride wasn't breaking rules. He wasn't roleplaying as a mahjarrat king of Forinthry (or so i thought
), and he wasn't shit talking and making rude remarks at every opportunity.
When it was first speculated that he was in fact Pyro, I didn't believe it originally. When enough evidence was provided, and I saw his own reaction to the matter, I was convinced. Along with being messaged "Hey" every waking moment. Even then, I didn't care; I figured he was trying to turn a new leaf or something. Even if that wasn't the case, accepting him as a roleplayer was important to me as a person. Legitimately had people breathing down my neck about Arenaride being Pyro when I gave him land in Kandarin, or vouched for him, or whatever else.
I continuously told them I literally gave no shits. I'm not sure why I would need to; he was literally doing no harm and had, to my eyes, moved away from the whole lore-shattering and oft mocked King of Forinthry shtick. The entire experience made me genuinely wonder what this community would be like if everyone was hidden behind a new account and roleplayed for the sake of roleplaying, rather than sitting here and arguing over past transgressions and holding grudges by the throat like teenage high school girls.
Even now, my character (Axel) is not going to change his disposition towards Jacob Delvar unless he makes his true nature obvious. Even though a mahjarrat hiding perfectly is an affront to other mahjarrat characters, and I personally don't think mahjarrat should be played by
anyone
on 42, and the fact that Axel himself would be able to pick up on such traits, it's too much effort, and effectively does more harm to RP than it does good.
