A letter would arrive at the Ardougne offices of The Gielinor Times. On the front of it was a symbol of the Kingdom of Falador, while sealing it was a purple-colored gem-shaped stamp. Upon being opened, the letter inside would be on slightly worn paper, with a few burn marks at the bottom of the page. Upon reading it, it would say the following.

"To the Writers of The Gielinor Times,

In your last issue, you reported on Overlord 'Vile's plans for a Duel Arena within Falador. Since being reported on, I, as Patriarch of Falador, have decreed that a fundraiser be planned to raise the entirety of the funds without being too much of a hassle on the Faladian populace. This fundraiser shall be in the form of a bake sale, in one weeks' time. I formally request that a reporter for the paper attend the event, and perhaps even bring some baked goods if they wish to. If you cannot attend, please send the letter right to the office of Overlord 'Vile, I'm sure he would be quite disappointed if his favourite morning paper cannot spare even a single reporter for his city.

A letter would arrive via a page at the Ardougne Headquarters of the Gielinor Times. The letter was stamped with the seal of the King of Iliara, a golden pheonix in the middle of a black shield, surrounded in a dark green color.

To the Head of the Gielinor Times,

Greetings to you, and I hope you are in good health. My name is Ausar, and you may have some questions as to the state of Ardougne after the chaos that broke out a short time ago. I too wish to speak with you, as I now find myself in control of the area your new headquarters has been established. Feel free to write back or come to the castle in person. I look forward to either event taking place.

A snow white letter envalope would find it's way to Falador Castle, addressed to High Priest Elsazar. The name and address would be written in pitch black ink in swirly, posh and feminine hand-writing. The letter would be sealed with a wax shortened version of The Gielinor Times' logo: the left hand globe from the full logo.


Dear High Priest Elsazar,

Thank you for your letter, it does make my job and my researchers jobs a lot easier when people tell us what is going on rather than us having to turn over every rock to find it.

I'll speak to my team in a issue-planning meeting and see if we can spare a reporter, or two. I'll even bake up some of my best 'Salmassi Snaps'. They're simply cookies, but use a secret family recipe that's been passed down through the generations.

It's funny that you contact me on this morn, because as I read your letter with interest: one of my researchers came banging on my office door and explained the monarchy an government change in these lands.

We were already planning on placing this change in the next issue, as it was labled as a 'priority topic' - one that must go into the next issue.

Either myself or one of my team will come to the castle if not today, sometime in the next few days to interview yourself an perhaps some of your teams and local citizens.

I have a few complaints K9, if you don't mind me ranting for a bit.

Why is this Semi-Private plot being acknowledged in a Public Newspaper? I could understand if it was a Public plot, but as people and clans are excluded from it, and the plot is a massive violation to lore when put in the public sphere, it can't mesh into the Public world of the Sixth Age at all.

If you look at your subscriptions, there is quite a loss of track of people. Dead people, people who have moved, and people removed by other people from power, usually based on the prior two as well.

Magnus Godwin, for example, has been dead for months. The Times COVERED his death, but he's still a Subscriber? I know this is partially the player's job to look into, but in some cases it's not needed.
