What threat could be greater than the Bandosians?
Alex: Bandos was always weak. Ruling by force alone is never truly secure, and the frailty of his ideology means that he would never be able to maintain dominion over any part of Gielinor. I speak of the Forinthrian cultists who had invaded all of Misthalin in years gone by. They have not shown their hand since this event, but I certainly must remain wary. I feel if they return, we could see many people persecuted by such an invasion.
Will the Lux Veritatis be making any efforts against these Forinthrians, or will they be focusing solely on the Armadylean interest in the war?
Alex: The Lux Veritatis is not an eminently Armadylean organisation. We merely promote Armadylean ideals. It'd be hypocritical and neglectful for us not to intervene against the threat of a new invasion.
Is the Lux Veritatis going to be focusing on any humanitarian efforts? Or will it be concentrating entirely on military endeavours?
Alex: We intend to both focus on humanitarian and military goals. One of my first priorities is to get a hospital in Ardougne built. When I abdicated the throne of Ardougne all those years ago, I left a trust for the establishment of a hospital. The money was never used.
As the leader of a group that promotes Armadylean ideals, what is your response to the accusations of hypocrisy leveled at the Armadylean war interest by its critics?
Alex: Ah. The argument of hypocrisy is one I've had to contend with for some time. It is one that is utterly baseless and proliferated with those seeking to debase our position with little effort. Armadyl, and Armadylean faction, are not hypocrites. To say that fighting a war goes against Armadyl's ideals of peace is, admittedly, true, but you must also appreciate the wider context. One man's trash is another's treasure, and one man's cash buys another's pleasure.
So I'll rob from the cradle, and I'll rob from the grave; it's just human traffic, and I'm just a slave.
