I couldn't find any clear information on the precise longevity of the different parts, but my understanding was that pickaxe heads lose their effectiveness sooner than the handles break. Heads can be sent off for repair/reshaping, and they switch to another one on the same handle while the first goes back into circulation. I could be wrong, and I think it depends on what exactly you're clearing, but that's the information I've been able to gather.
As for the rest, I'm spreading the orders around. I have a long list of things we'll need and people to get them from. Even the canary is covered, although whether that guy is still in business or even alive remains to be seen. I do appreciate the help, though.
One man's trash is another's treasure, and one man's cash buys another's pleasure.
So I'll rob from the cradle, and I'll rob from the grave; it's just human traffic, and I'm just a slave.
