There was another addition to that loyalty she carried like a badge, and he was the one who quite literally coaxed the young woman out of the girl. Ren believed in her when she doubted even the most simplistic aspect of herself and abilities. At her side since they met, it did give her some sort of comfort. A safety net she's never had before, but at time too stubborn to rely on it. The fiery redhead who used to walk a straight line now jumped into the fire head first with a slightly better hold on the brakes than before. He would guide her, teach her of things she's only read in books, or witnessed by the hands of others. His stories of lifetime's past enthralled her thirst for more, which he promised to share his knowledge as long as she wanted it. She wanted it.
Thinking on him now, Yselt glanced over her shoulder to the man asleep not but a few feet away from where she stood at her fireplace. the view was a testament to how her private life had taken a dramatic turn she never imagined until it was practically in her face, and clearly tugging on her heart. A deep sigh escaped her lips as she returned to her silent vigil at the fire kept alive by pure arcane spirit radiating from her. So much to juggle, her strength unraveled for a moment as light glistened off the ribbons of tears spilling from her eyes of burning ember. She'd wipe them quickly, but they kept falling as stubbornly as she was.
