Dear God, please send the competition, feels like there ain't any.
I long lost count of the victories, there were just far too many.

I'm currently finishing a PhD in computer science. My thesis is on applied algebraic topology for decision problems in distributed computing, though I got tired of working on such abstract problems in academia, so I just decided to be a research scientist at a tech company after I graduate. I have lots of freedom to decide what I want to work on there, though it'll probably be in distributed computing/concurrency, or blockchain, or some mix of them. I'm also studying data science/machine learning during my last year in the program.
Wow, very cool! I'm a computer science student focused on applied mathematics so your thesis topic sounds very interesting to me! I have planned to take a course on algebraic topology next time it's on the curriculum. Good luck with your career
I'm a full stack developer at a small company here in Minnesota. Many businesses and schools in the area (such as the University of Minnesota) have hired us for fixes, adding to their site, or writing an entire new one from scratch.
In addition to HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, etc. I'm a major Python addict and also know C/C++ exceptionally well! Dream job is to work at SpaceX or a game studio (like Naughty Dog for example).
Greetings. I'm Joe. I love games and game development.

Meanwhile I'm balled up in the corner because I can't debug my PHP login function.
Would totally love to expand my knowledge into C/C++ but every time I start to try to pick it up, I go right back to what I know.
Ahh well...
*back to the drawing board*
Update: Totally got my login function sorted now... just thought I'd update on that. For anyone curious, I was able to sign in with the correct details but when I tried with incorrect details, it would failsafe rather than trigger a failed login error. By failsafe, I mean that I have part of the function detecting valid parameters in case of URL manip. I completely forgot to write an error handler to detect the trigger for unsuccessful login. So, failsafe picked up the noauth parameter that is generated on failed login as invalid and didn't know what to do with it, so it ignored it.
I spent 8 hours combing for syntax errors and was so caught up looking for a missing curly brace or semicolon that I completely missed that I hadn't even written an error handler for the situation.

Food scientists have finally managed to remove the mint flavor from gum! The ex-spearmint was a success!
