An infection in my right arm, where I almost lost my arm. I spent 5 weeks in hospital and had 5 operations. When I left hospital I couldn't stay warm. But I got over it thanks to the hospital staff.
Edit: The hospital staff provided me with pain killer medication for about 3 months after leaving hospital.
I think New Zealand has one of the best health care systems in the world.

Peritonitis from ruptured appendix is up there. Paramedics had to carry me because it was too painful to walk. I was only 9 at the time so it might be harder to gauge the pain.
I hear appendix pain is some of the worst
is it

For me it was going through chemo and radiation treatments. Then the amputations. Every now and then phantom limb pain sets in.
Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.
Ekki hugsa alltaf að ég sé friðsælt vegna þess að ég veit ekki hvernig á að vera ofbeldi.
Boy this is my kinda thread. I've been through the ringer. Broken bones, lacerations, illnesses, afflictions. King of pain.
Honestly I cant choose one. Ill try a top 10.
10: Lacerations/burns. Blanket. Had over 100 stitches, and that's just the ones I bothered to get sutured. Certain places hurt a lot more than others such as fingers.
9: Broken fingers. Sucked cause I never went to the Dr, and now my grip is weak. The swelling made my job difficult at the time.
8: Concussion. Just sucked.
7: Sprained ankle. Hurt like a mf and took years to fully heal. Wish I'd have broken it.
6: Knee injury. Bruised it so much and so many times that it developed fluid in the joint and was tough to walk on for months.
5: Capsaicin. I ate a raw habanero on an empty stomach, and it was a whole day ordeal. First 2 hours of fire in the mouth trying to puke but couldn't. Then it hit my intestines and it felt like someone was twisting a knife in my guts for 3 hours. Then it had to come out... yeah.
4: Broken leg. Wasn't as bad as some might expect but the lasting effects are ailing me to this day, and it did hurt and took a long time to heal.
3: Gastritis. Alcoholic gastritis, specifically. During lockdown I was going through a ton of emotional rock bottom stuff, and I drank to the point that I eroded my stomach lining. So for 3 weeks every time my stomach made acid my stomach had to rawdog it. It lasted for hours and didn't have a schedule so basically being burned with acid internally whenever it deemed fit. Middle of the night, morning, anytime.
2: Cellulitis. Blood infection. I tanked it for a week till I went to the hospital where they said I almost died. Then they had to scrub the dead skin off. Shudder
1: Dislocated shoulder. Think this was the worst. Had to deal with it out of socket for 5 hours and due to the severity, I was essentially disabled for 8 months till the nerves healed.
The worst pain I had was from surgery to remove most of my clavicles, first and second ribs and manubrium (upper part of the sternum), due to a cancer that loved me too much.
I think New Zealand has one of the best health care systems in the world.

If child birth was so bad I don't think women would want anymore than one kid
It is painful even with pain relief (unless an epidural is involved ) but at the end you, hopefully, have this little baby to make it all worthwhile. Sadly things sometimes go wrong but mostly all is well in the end.
After the first baby I didn't want any more children for over 3 years. As our son grew older we realised it would be good for him to have a sibling. Both sons have brought us joy over the years.... and worry at times but that's normal
Someone once told me that the worst pain they had ever felt was on the day they were unfairly banned, they told me about how sick it made them feel and how they could not eat for days after and how badly it affected their mental health.
On a brighter note.....
That guy overcame everything that was thrust upon him and still plays to this day almost 8 years later albeit with slightly less game time from the 12 hours+ per day he once logged in for, he told me that he has narrowed it down now to once a week on a friday.
Much love
Scouse - I must have a doppelganger cos that story sounds very similar <3
