The boa constrictor's scientic (Or latin or binomial if you prefer) name is boa constrictor!
This is the only living animal which has this. There are some very close ones, such as the Lynx (Lynx lynx) and the Western Gorilla (Gorilla gorilla) and the Western Lowland Gorilla (Gorilla gorilla gorilla). There are several plants which do have the same common name as scientific, such as aloe vera.
(Also, writing the word gorilla often enough convinces you that you've spelt it incorrectly...)
Contrary to popular belief there are only a handful of poisonous snakes. I seem to recall the Japanese grass snake as one. This is because of the confusion between the word poisonous and venomous. In simple terms, poison is caused by eating or touching whereas venom is when it is injected (such as by bite). As such, a majority of "poisonous" snakes are actually
not
poisonous, but venomous.
The distinctive smell on circulated coins is not metal. It is the smell of the oils from the many hands which have handled it, decaying. (Well, it's a little more complex than that, but in the most basic terms, the fact is correct).
If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now.
