Started watching
Under the Banner of Heaven
(2022).

A devout Mormon detective finds his faith tested while he and his non-religious but more experienced partner investigate a brutal murder that is apparently connected to a respected Utah family, and its spiral into religious fundamentalism and anti-government militantism.

Absolutely superb, all the cast (Andrew Garfield, Sam Worthington, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Gil Birmingham) are on top form here. Looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Thanks, that's two I've never seen, added to my list.

I've almost finished watching
Beef
, two episodes to go.
It's not been as good as I'd hoped but I'll stick with it.

I finished
Beef
last night, what a weird show :P

Interesting start, a bit of a dull middle, penultimate episode fantastic, last episode .... odd, and not particularly good.

I also watched a great action movie,
13 Hours

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4172430

The true story of an attack on a CIA compound in Libya, and a security team struggles to defend it.

Loads of action, great cast.

Watched
Black Swan
(2010), starring Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel.

Can see why Portman won the Best Actress Oscar for this. It's a chilling portrayal of someone being pushed over the mental edge. Definitely not one to watch with young kids. 10/10 would recommend.

I love Black Swan.

Aronofsky is a bit of a "Marmite" director, I love some of his films but just can't get along with some of his stuff.

I've been gradually coming down with Flu (or maybe Covid) this week, ordered a test kit which I should get tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

It does mean though that I've been watching a lot of TV :P
I've watched a couple of excellent war films -
Zero Dark Thirty
and
13 Hours
, plus most of Breaking Bad (which I've watched several times before).

I also watched The Mandalorian finale (excellent) and the latest Ted Lasso (a bit dull).

Tonight I'll probably finish BB and might revisit an old sci fi favourite,
Fringe
