I like the polarity between Robocop and Terminator. Murphy is a man who was taught to be a machine; the T800 is a machine who was taught to be a man. Whereas Murphy finally regains his humanity towards the end of the film, the T800 comes to the realisation that he can never be a human. As he says to John "I know now why you cry, but it is something I can never do" before making the ultimate sacrifice.

I think I prefer Robocop because it's more optimistic.
The age of chivalry is gone; that of sophisters, economists, and calculators has succeeded, and the glory of Europe is extinguished forever.

^I've watched Robocop once I think, so I dont really know what your talking about. I have watched the Terminator movies a number of times, especially Terminator 2.

Today I watched
The Others
2001 With Nicole Kidman.

I also just finished watching
Stir of Echoes
1999 staring Kevin Bacon.

I highly recommend both movies. I've seen them before, but I'm running out of movies to watch.

I'm going to watch that movie with subtitles as opposed to the dubbed version. I'm not a huge fan of war movies but this one sounds good. The last good war movie I saw was
1917
which came out a few years ago.

I keep meaning to watch that, but have to wait til I'm in the right mood, I've heard it's pretty harrowing. Definitely on my list.

I've been catching up on the new series of
The White Lotus
, and it's just as good as the first season. Aubrey Plaza is a welcome addition to the cast.

I've never thought of it that way before, that's a really interesting take on things.

I just watched
Terminator: Dark Fate
2019. I can't believe I haven't seen it before. I think there were a couple of Terminator movies I didn't like so I gave up interest.

This one which is the 6th installment is very good and has an aging Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger who carry on the story well.

And like they say 'No Arnie... No Movie' lol

Yeah it was a sad ending :(
I really didn't think
they'd kill off one of the main characters

I've been watching the
Lord of The Rings
trilogy yet again :)
I'm watching the extended versions, that's 12 hours in total... first two done, just Return of The King to go, which I'll watch tonight.

I never tire of these films, absolutely brilliant and genuinely epic.
