I'm four episodes in and finding it hard going to be honest.
I'm sure it'll all fall into place but it's a difficult plot to grasp.

I finished the Dark Knight trilogy last night with
The Dark Knight Rises
.
Not quite as good as the second film (takes some beating really) but still and excellent film, this time with the addition of Bane and Catwoman.

I'vc just started Season 6 of The Crown.

Interesting to lead with the crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel.

I've never seen The Crown, read good things about it though... and I remember the tunnel incident really well =/ Such a shock.

I dont know if I have mentioned this before but I really like the 'Becky' movies.

They are basically about a young girl who kills off white supremacists who have done her wrong. I recommend both movies.

I believe a third movie is coming out soon.

I just noticed that the first one is available on Netflix, I'll definitely check it out.

I watched the first two episodes of the new animated
Scott Pilgrim
series last night.
It's... ok. I'm not really into animation but they're short episodes so I'll stick with it.

I watched
Oppenheimer
last night.

It was long... and it was just ok, bits of it really dragged though and it could easily be an hour shorter without losing anything vital.

I've seen a couple of documentaries that go more into the technical side of things, but this is more of a character study.
Cillian Murphy is brilliant, as always.

On Kiwi's recommendation I watched
Becky
and
Wrath of Becky
over the last two days.
Both brilliant :D

Loads of dark humour, tons of blood and gore and lulu Wilson is excellent.

After seeing the ending of the second one I thought
it could make a great TV series!

Watched
A Haunting in Venice
last night, now it's out on Disney+.

Wow.

Kenneth Branagh's 3rd outing as Hercule Poirot, this one based on one of Agatha Christie's lesser known works 'A Halloween Party', which afaik hasn't been made into a movie or TV episode before. This is a complete change of pace from his
Murder on the Orient Express
and
Death on the Nile
.

Branagh is great, so is Michelle Yeoh, and so is 13-yr old Jude Hill. Also features Tina Fey (of all people) playing an American Ariadne Oliver, along with Riccardo Scamarcio, Camille Cottin, Kelly Reilly and Jamie Dornan.

VERY atmospheric, and very spooky. This is not your grandma's Poirot by any means.

10/10.

10/10.

Thanks Arch, might give that one a go tonight.

I finished watching
A Long Shadow
on ITV last night, a seven parter about the "Yorkshire Ripper", Peter Sutcliffe.

There have been loads of documentaries over the years but I don't remember any other TV dramas about it.

They've made a good job of it with an excellent cast and great attention to the period details such as cars and clothing.

Watched a classic last night that never gets old. Space Balls. Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.
