No ICE started a new series set just before the empire was started/the founding of it

Dunno bout the last Tiste book still got the second to read yet...!

I recently picked-up a hard-cover omnibus of the first three Kay Scarpetta novels by Patricia Cornwell ( Postmortem , Body of Evidence , and All That Remains ). I'm close to finishing Body of Evidence .
