Dark Tower: The Gunslinger - The Journey Begins.

Currently reading Dark Tower: The Gunslinger - The Way Station.

These are graphic novels based on the Dark Tower series by Stephen King and I have re read these for possibly the 3rd or 4th time.

The actual graphic novels are of high quality for an adult graphic novel. The artists have nailed the imagery for what depicts the Mid-World scenery and things such as hallucinations that are extremely hard to showcase in a graphic novel.

Robin Furth deserves huge kudos for his adaptation of Dark Tower that add questions between parts of the original story from Stephen King. He brings the what ifs? in between and isn't afraid to take the more risky approach there.

I hope Stephen King and Robin Furth are consulting with the directors and production managers of the Dark Tower T.V series that has begun in Crotia as it's their vision that will help bring the t.v show to life.

Ive read the first 3 novels in the Dark Tower series a number of years ago.

I own 7 books in the series but before I carry on I need to start reading them all again from the start, and put aside time for reading.

SK is by far my favourite author. The Dark Tower series is great but my favourite novel of his is probably The Stand.

As for the graphic novels you are reading, I have seen them and yes they are very good.

Pretty much the same have read the first 2/3 but can't remember much as I never got round to buying the next one and ended up reading something else instead

David just posted this on facebook:

" Update for my loyal and fantastic readership. Thank you for your patience as I had a small setback recently when I lost my best and only friend in life---my little dog Gary. He listened to every book I ever wrote except for the first one, Event. I was devastated to say the least by this loss.

However, I made it through my grief and have finished 'Season of the Witch.' I had to wait on a last research paper from the UCLA Ancient Languages Department and now that research has been installed in the book. I thank everyone for their patience and promise never to be this slow again---Gary wouldn't have it! By the way readership, prepare to be scared and shocked with 'Season of the Witch'...it goes to Kent Holloway next Wednesday
!"

Great news. Hopefully the book is the same price as Empire of the Dragon.

Blurb for Solar Warden #1: Alien Secrets:

" In the first novel in New York Times bestselling author Ian Douglas’ Solar Warden series, government conspiracy theories, UFO history, and thrilling space combat come together in an unforgettable interstellar military science fiction adventure.

THE TRUTH HAS ALWAYS BEEN HERE

In the final days of World War II, the Allies ransacked Berlin. Third Reich scientists were highly sought- out prizes for Americans and Russians desperate to possess the Nazi knowledge of nuclear firepower. But they failed to capture one of the most vital members of Adolf Hitler’s inner circle: SS Obergruppenfuhrer Hans Kammler. One of the engineers of Auschwitz, Kammler was also a liaison with the Nazis’ silent partners whose technological wonders nearly helped the Axis win the war—the alien species the Germans called the Eidechse.

More than seven decades later, U. S. Navy SEAL Lieutenant Commander Mark Hunter has witnessed the impossible. On a mission in North Korea, an unidentified flying object destroyed a compound developing weapons of mass destruction. Now, he has been recruited to join a government agency that has been harboring a secret alliance with extraterrestrials since 1947. Selected to lead an elite force of soldiers, Hunter will travel across the stars to help humanity stake its claim among greater intelligent life in the universe.

But the aliens who have infiltrated Earth and guided war mongering nations since the twentieth century have their own agendas…
"

Paperback, 384 pages
Expected publication: March 31st 2020 by Harper Voyager

Looking forward but hopefully he actually finishes the trilogy unlike his star corpsman and andromedan dark series

We have a pop-up library in our city since the last one got closed due to not being a safe building. Anyway I got a Dean Kootz book out and when I got home I realised it was the third in the series so I went back to the library the next day and got our the first two books in the series:

The silent corner, The whispering Room and The crooked Staircase.

I also got out, Am I cold by Martin Kongstad.
If fat means flavour then I'm ******* delicious!

Great news. Andy McDermott has signed a movie deal to bring the wilde/chase series to the big screen.

Finally, one of my three favorite Thriller authors (Andy, David Golemon, Matthew Reilly) are going to get their books made into a movie. I hope it does well so we can get a new version of Indiana Jones. And I hope it's actually accurate to the books.
